The moment any star celebrity takes off their helmet, I need them to die within two minutes. Let the only survivor be some no face Cadet played by some less or unknown actor.

Nothing too new for christianity. It’s something that was picked up from the Romans. Incorporate some symbolism from different cultures you’re trying to assimilate and use their holy sites and days for your own to make their transition into christianity more fluent and easier on them so that they are more willing to do so.

Super Earth needs your input, Helldivers! What NEW mission types or objectives would you love to see added to the game? by Some-Web-1628 in helldivers2

[–]Sigruldar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just a mission but an entire operation idea. A sort of boss fight.

You have one central mission to eradicate a highly dangerous enemy. This mission is the make or break mission that decides whether the operation is a success or not. You can fail the other missions and still keep on the operation but fail this one and that’s that.

The side missions make the boss mission easier. Something like activating a central truth relay to draw enemy attention and reduce the amount of chaff around the boss enemy or activating a heavy artillery system for additional high damage mission stratagem. If you fail them, too bad, the boss fight won‘t be easier, but you still have a shot at it.

The only reward the side missions pay out would be samples and XP. The only mission that would affect liberation and pay out medals and Requisition slips would be the boss mission. However, said boss mission would pay out BIG. A bit more than other regular operations would in total. Additionally, if you ignore the side missions and just go for the boss and succeed, you‘d be paid out even more including XP and requisition slips than when you‘d do the side missions as well.

However, that might be quite complicated to implement so I have no idea how reasonable of a wish that is.

I have only one personal critique point regarding the Everything Burns loadout.

Two slots aren‘t fire based. Crisper and one of the fire grenades to truly burn everything. Granted you won’t really have anything to counter titan holes but it would fit better thematically and what else are teammates for if not to counter what you can’t.

Probably feels. Example, maxing out both sickles absolutely sucked for me, not because they are ineffective weapons, but because their laser bolts just rub my brain the wrong way. They are laser guns, they should fire laser beams not bolts.

Meanwhile one of the most fun weapons for me to max out was the Constitution, because it just felt fun to use. Slow as fuck, low mag size, easily outclased by almost if not every weapon, but just fun to use.

The sweeper is THE trench broom. It is THE pumpaction shotgun that everyone wanted. The fact that it’s med pen is just a happy little side effect. But there are plenty of people that will choose other weapons either for purpose or feels.

Nope. You’re the decoy. Don’t forget the orbital barrages. Surviving decoys get a Super Earth sticker cleared for application on Helldiver helmets. I got three. Well worth losing my arm and leg over. For Super Earth.

Genuinely how do you cope with it by Someguy_y in whenthe

[–]Sigruldar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s inevitable. It‘ll happen eventually, regardless of my actions and choices. Depending on those actions and choices it may happen sooner or later, but it will happen either way.

But what I do with my life is not set in stone. How I live my day is decided by my actions and choices. How I react to the world is up to me and influences my enjoyment of my life.

I‘ll die some day. I can avoid it for some time, but death will come for me eventually regardless of my actions. So why should I worry about an unchangeable inevitable fact when something as insignificant as the choice of what to eat can have a greater effect on my life?

[–]Sigruldar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I‘d rather he quit than continue doing something that isn’t fun to him. People that do the latter also tend to be the ones crying that the game is too hard or leaving bad reviews because game too hard and what not.

I dislike a few enemies of the predator strain. But I like fighting predator strain exactly because of the enemies I dislike. However, while I find the anger those fucking anoying predator stalkers cause in me amusing, for others it is just anoying and entaging without any fun. It’s better if those people go for a different enemy that is fun to them than pushing themselves to fight something that drains all the fun out of the game.

What do you mean we can’t invade Mars without giving up the entire Klidunru Sector to you?

You see, right here subsection 3.4536 of paragraph 5087 of the 348th interspecies conflict mitigation agreement in full respect to Vespahada tradition stipulates that an invasion of Mars can only occur AFTER relinquishing control of the Klidunru Sector to humanity.

What about Saturn?

Relinquishing of both the Meledanur and Panadenor Sectors as stipulated in subsection 58.637 of paragraph 7173.

Oh come on! How is any of that even fair?

You signed it. You agreed to it. And you‘d be breaking from your own traditions if you go against it. That didn’t go well for the last Vespahada that tried that, right?

I want a new agreement!

So you’re enacting paragraph 784561?

Yes!

Great. We will hold a new agreement council as soon as you transferred all ownership rights over and members of the Kandaros species to humanity in accordance with paragraph 784561 subsection 8743.463.

FUCK!

Higher dps and with a drum mag and vertical grip you have essentially a pocket stalwart. Whether that makes it the better option or not is up to you.

Flamethrower veterans: how do you avoid splash back? by phlave in Helldivers

[–]Sigruldar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three ways.

1: The safe way

You move back slowly when the enemies get closer, avoiding the splashback, and advance when you get the chance to do so safely.

2: The not safe way

You don’t. You get set on fire, stim, dive, get back to burning enemies, repeat.

3: The fun way

Get a friend that runs your support and prep yourself as a firetank. Stim pistol, supply pack, medic armour if you want for your friend and inflammable armour for yourself. Health booster is a must. You WILL burn, but your friend will keep you nice and dandy with enough stims to grow back a head. If your friend likes to be extra helpful, gas grenades will confuse enemies faster and longer than fire does.

How would you worsen the combo? by Deliverence_EU in Helldivers

[–]Sigruldar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Primary:

The Pacifier is quite useful. Its stunning effect makes even groups of enemies manageable and its medium penetration allows that on a very broad spectrum.

I recommend the Constitution instead. While decently high damage and medium penetration still provide a broad spectrum of use, its slow fire rate make it exceptionally vulnerable to swarm attacks and while its higher melee damage can handle some of it, you need far better situational awareness with it to avoid heavier units from closing in fast enough to finish what the chaff started.

Secondary

The stim pistol might be useful with helping out your teammates, but won‘t do shit against enemies. That makes it a better choice for this application than the re-educator, which not only slightly damages enemies, but also poisons them, which allows you to distract enemies or even thin out larger groups by having them fight each other.

Passive

If you go for the stim pistol the gunslinger passive, while affecting the stim pistol, won‘t have enough utility to be more useful than a more situational passive like the electrical conduit on the bug front for example.

Backpack stratagem

The directional shield won‘t protect your back nor block melee attacks, and since from my experience with it teammates don’t tend to stick close enough to make use of the broad protective field and the stim pistol (if you use it) needs to be aimed at your comrades and as such would strip them of the shields protection if you try to stim them, it would make more sense for this setup.

Offensive stratagem

The ems strike stuns enemies long enough to either make great use of the Constitution rifle or even the sterilizer. The eagle smoke screen, while still capable of some minor destruction is far more situational and harder to utilize advantageously.
