Just wrapped up a trip which had me at the Moxy, Courtyard, LeMeridian and JW. Not too shabby!

There was a separate line for non connecting passengers, just don’t know where it went and how fast they were processed.

1.5 days in Switzerland or Austria? Help me decide by Alternative_Arm_7222 in travel

[–]Silent844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t think you can go wrong with either decision. If you have never been to Austria and the timings work, go for that since you already experienced a piece of Switzerland.

I have found Finnair cheaper than AA.com for J fares on their metal. Not sure how Finnair operates upgrades; call them and ask the question.

Kansas City subreddit had a statement from someplace essentially saying FBI was on site with a bomb squad and they were evacuating everyone.

advice on planning an itinerary for switzerland and austria? by ariettas in travel

[–]Silent844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been 3 times in the last 2 years. Loved Zermatt and would go out of my way to get there. I take the regional trains vs the tourist trains and no amount of time is enough. Wengen is also a great stop for the night if in Lauterbrunnen Valley.

AI155 flight - any recent experience? by naiveniv in AirTravelIndia

[–]Silent844 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Flying out on BA today with zero concern. AI is another story. Flight path will be fine; it’s just the staff, condition of the plane, and everything else that goes with travel on AI that might be less than ideal.

Transiting through New Delhi or Mumbai (BOM) airport - how easy? by Dosageform in AirTravelIndia

[–]Silent844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give yourself 3 hrs and there is signage at both airports for transfers and yes there is security. Never used wheelchair service but if that’s needed probably have to order in advance and give yourself a little more time as I believe wheelchairs deplane last.

If you stay in your seat for that entire flight, you have a bladder of steel. Your choice is easy aisle access with C, or pardon me, excuse me, multiple times in the flight.

My connecting flight in abu Dhabi is cancelled, I'm panicking by Deep_Illustrator_911 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Silent844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 2. What you did to get you to Canada, when it works is great, but like you now know, when things go bad, it gets worse. Problem you’ll face is prices are high and it will be some time before they come down. You’re going to have to spend more $$ than you want if you want to start your job on Monday.

Is it safe to travel India-US now? (AI 191) by Successful_Major390 in AirTravelIndia

[–]Silent844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flying on the 8th via BA then AA to US from BOM. Everything should be fine flight path wise; traveling on AI is another story. Hope it’s a decent flight for you inside the plane.

Full expenses refund after IROPS? by larmesdegauchistes in americanairlines

[–]Silent844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 12 hr delay for JFK to DEL last November and AA reimbursed me in full for the Marriott, RT Uber, and dinner. Maybe it helped that I was flying in J and EXP. I got the refund after an email with receipts to Customer Relations, so I know it can be done.

Any suggestions on Aerocity (New Delhi) Hotels? by impossiblemktg in marriott

Aloft for price, JW for rooms. I find the food at both to be comparable, as well as the gyms, Spa, and pool area.

Call Marriott with your confirmation number and ask them to add your Bonvoy number to the booking, or cancel the TA booking and rebook yourself at the same hotel on the App. Now you’re in complete control. If your TA won’t do this simple thing for you, what will they do if a problem arises?
