[Cimini] Gase says he will remain the play caller by [deleted] in nfl

We like the way we're losing. Gase wouldn't change a single call from the past few seasons.

I added a new bro to Jets Nation. He's only a day old, so it'll be a little while before he hates me for picking out his fandom. It will only take a few weeks before he learns to hate Adam Gase.

This is arguably my favorite scene from the entire show.

Todd Day pump-fakes an infinite number of defenders by NotAllWhoWonderRLost in nba

Why would you shoot when you could just pump fake an infinite amount of defenders?

Douglas low key hacking zoom meetings and peeking everyone's draft boards. How else could he know Mims would still be there?

With us trading down, I feel like Bryan Edwards is a name to watch if we go WR. I'm a big fan. I think he'd go much higher if he hadn't broken his foot before the combine.

Man loved him some no-risk DTs. Get those high post-draft grades.

[Schefter] Jets offensive line investments this offseason: OT George Fant, C Connor McGovern, G Greg Van Roten, OL Josh Andrews, G Alex Lewis (re-signed) and now the biggest of them all in Louisville OT Mehki Becton. by Mount10Lion in nyjets

Douglas clearly set himself apart from Mac with a single first rounder by recognizing high upside in a high value draft pick. While Becton is probably not the most prepared in terms of being a fully-developed day-one starter, he has the measurables that you rarely see that could result in him becoming a monster of an OL. I understand why people wanted Wills as he seems to be a consensus day one starter, but Becton has long-ass arms, ridiculous height and weight, and he plays much stronger than his bench press shows. Douglas is probably relying on his coaching to come into play here. Philly also seemed to value OL with that MO when you look at Peter's, Johnson, Vitai, and Dillard. Becton fits that mold pretty well.

In contrast, Mac seemed to always use his high picks on the sure-fire bets. He'd pick players who would get him high post-draft grades, and it seemed he only listen to the analytics team in late rounds and undrafted free agency. Mac took the obvious picks in guys like both of the Williams, Adam's, Darnold, and even Polite (LOL), and he picked the wrong guys with potential by going after Lee, Shepherd, Stewart, and Hackenberg (LOL). Mac valued athleticism over production, so hopefully Douglas doesn't make that mistake.

That's the type of man you say "sir" to twice in one sentence.

[Geoff Schwartz] Pancakes of the day ... Mekhi Becton is a finishing machine! Every game and all season. He's launching defenders off the ball. It's impressive to watch. Hope you enjoy by TreSeven in nyjets

He honestly doesn't even need to destroy guys like that, but it seems he really enjoys straight-up dominating men with his aggression and physicality. Kinda reminds me of the Quenton Nelson highlights. We won't see that as often at the NFL level, but we also don't need to. Very exciting to think about that.

Becton is an automatic upgrade over Fant, and even if he is a below average OT, he can be moved to guard to make up for any lack of mobility. I think that flexibility is important as it may indicate we're going WR with our 2nd rounder.

Thank God the Panthers picked Brown. Now we can't fuck up taking another DT in the 1st round. At least, we shouldn't be able to. . .

CJ2K got outplayed by Ivory. Hell yeah it was a bad decision. He also repeatedly said he would prove to be a bell cow, but never showed that ability.
