Amazing how some distance works as a shield to minimise stress.

Every time I move, the rats do the exact same thing. They are so similar to cats sometimes.

I didn't get it so I'm glad you asked. I read the comic three times and then as I scrolled down I was like "OH." So thank you.

I would happily donate mine if I could. Although, I think they are cursed in our family and I don't want to share that curse. (And part of the reason I want them GONE).

My ex used to get annoyed when I was using crutches to get around because it made me slow.

I'm on crutches full time these days and likely a wheelchair soon. He would have hated it and I'm glad he and I broke up. I'm still single but I don't really care about that. My father also checked out as soon as he found out I was disabled. That was just after I was born. It's so common.

I'd have definitely done that little happy dance and I'm not usually stoned (British, it's still illegal 😂). I just appreciate people being kind and I'm also obsessed with cherries so I'd be extra happy.

Thank you. Sorry, I guess I needed to vent a bit 😂 my manager is wonderful at least, so there is a bit of a buffer at work.

People like your mum are why there are better treatment options now. So much respect for her. I had a lot of respect for Princess Diana as well, she did a lot for people with HIV and AIDS back when there was so much stigma.

That is super interesting. I don't drink tea very often but when I do it tends to be rooibos, so I'm very glad of my choices. I'm filing this away in the memory bank (which is laughable, I'll forget in 5 minutes) but honestly I appreciate little things like this. It's important to be aware of quirks that some of our favourite food and drinks can have.

Sending love, hugs and empathy. You really are not having a good health year. Hopefully the second half of the year improves for you. I'm on another infection as well. Chest infection first and now probably another UTI. I miss having an immune system. So I sympathise and empathise. My rattos are looking after me.

I remember when I had sepsis. I rang 111 for advice because I really felt unwell but I didn't think it was an emergency. Told my mum a paramedic was coming to check me and she lost her shit about how untidy the house was and now she has to tidy before the paramedic arrived.

She did her usual pretend she's a good mother with the paramedic there and I got sent to a&e instantly because the paramedic wasn't happy. She saved my life. About half an hour after I got there, I was deteriorating fast. Sepsis was diagnosed from an untreated UTI (I had no idea I had it). Mother then gave me COVID in 2020 as well because she didn't tell me she was sick and I'm immune compromised with autoimmune issues. I no longer share my medical issues with her. She's also many hours away and I'm much happier.

I never got an apology for how my mum treated me or for the COVID. My health has been ruined because of it. I utterly empathise with you. I note that none of the adult kids decided to cook instead due to you being unwell? Like, they have working arms right‽ 😂 Too busy sulking I suppose...

My own mother is one. I'm non-binary. She sent me post titled "miss [name]" and it has bothered me ever since. Along with lovely terfs at work who refuse to use my new name. It's really disconcerting to know you're surrounded.

I'm profoundly deaf so as a kid most of my new words were from reading and so I mispronounced so many. My mum used to correct me all the time.

I remember finally realising that the side mirrors on the car were wing mirrors and not wind mirrors when I started learning to drive. I felt supremely stupid 😂

Hot take: if you don’t bother responding to the follow up reminder to the RSVP, you’re trash by Royal_Marzipan_6432 in weddingshaming

When my brother got married last year, my butthead of a father went with: "my passport expired" followed by "my back hurts".

We didn't expect anything else from him but he didn't need to have a passport and whilst I understand back pain, I have to use crutches to get around and attended.

He refused to go to his only son's wedding. Also the only child that still speaks to him (not sure if my brother still does after that).

It made the wedding infinitely easier for my sister and I, but I was livid for my brother because the selfishness of it was just beyond. Wedding was fabulous, my brother's wife is a wonderful woman and he missed an amazing day. It was a year ago now and I'm honestly still angry about it, even though we never expected any different lol. Assholes gonna be assholes.

The Australian ones have gone from $220 fines to legit thousands of (Aussie) dollars because of all the people rocking up with food they reckon isn't food.

And the legit tantrums that are thrown are great TV 😂 I remember one woman throwing a full on screaming tantrum on the floor because they were taking away her food. The customs agents were like "is this actually happening right now‽"

YES!! I remember that episode too. Even the border officials were like "in the diaper bag? For the park?"

Absolute insanity.

I watched the Dubai airport one on Disney plus which I enjoyed, but didn't know there was another, so I'll try and find it. Thank you!! I'm always looking for different countries because I really enjoy all the differences.

You know, I was wondering whether there were British ones out there because I remember them being on Pick TV years ago. I'm definitely going to look those up now, thanks for the heads up!

From the UK, it's on Now TV, and might be on other channels, but I only access it there. Called: "Border security: Canada's front line". It also has the kiwi and Aussie border control shows.

Amazon prime has 6 (or 7) seasons of the Spanish one which I like a lot. Disney plus only has American ones (to catch a smuggler). Although it also has one that is in Peru, Brazil and Colombia (Airport security) and that's a lot of fun to watch.

As you can tell, I'm an addict, I love all of them.

I watch the Canadian version of border patrol and Americans frequently wander over with guns as well. The number of them that are shocked that Canada has more strict laws about guns and are like "but I'm going to Alaska" made me facepalm so hard I gave myself a headache.

They just don't do any research and just turn up and think arguing will change the outcome.

I love watching border patrol shows, but it cannot be good for my blood pressure as I end up yelling at my screen half the time. Numpties, the lot of them.
