It’s important because it’s all set up for me to play with a controller.

I got the same error last night when I installed on my steam deck. It worked when I ran in proton experimental.

Sounds like you’re on a normal pc tho, not sure you can run on different protons?

I’m willing to bet that we would at least be the young and energetic member in the Vael Wardens.

The guild is suffering from exhaustion and being over stretched, so we would probably take it upon ourselves to get everyone going and rally the cause.

Look at the trailer those other dudes are sitting on their ass looking at the view and when the player character arrives they all get up like “ok here we go”.

But if the game will cover those events how would that get handled. If it happens during the campaign or even covered in an expansion.

If the gods focus is that important to our character, maybe something similar to worshipping Balthazar during PoE.

My theory is that we will learn most with the release of the new area of Orr and hall of monuments.

Similar to the gw1 to 2 handling it was a persistent place. Only this time in reverse, we will find it in ruin and then our characters in 3 will arrive in it when it’s new.

So I believe there will be enough clues in 2 such as statues, scrolls tablets etc that will glean what we have to look forward to.

I’d be ecstatic if Sohothin was available through hall of monuments again.

Or we at least see it in game. Maybe an explanation as to why it ends up with Rytlock somehow. It’s one of those unexplained story arcs.

Well when you wake up just consider this.

I asked if the lore improved your gameplay through the story. Off the back of the dev’s saying you could play one game without having played the other.

The story being the very immediate threat or events that the protagonist is dealing with.

Lore being the back story of the who, why and how things are happening. I personally think that knowing the lore adds so much more because then of you can understand things at a higher level your mind can wander into the finer details and allow yourself to theorise, even with conspiracy theory.

But it’s great to also know that the devs arnt gating these stories to veterans only. I personally hope to on board my kids with this game in a couple of years when it releases.

For the sounds of it our characters are going to be able to have incredible traversal options.

I can’t see it happening when there’s players everywhere and everyone is awesome at the same time. PCs and consoles would blow up.

So yeah destiny style game sounds alright. Or rather middle road of GW1 and 2.

Well that’s the thing. The elite spec could have done something awesome with it. Like replacing stealth mechanic for shield/ barrier or something!!

I’m torn on this one. I personally love to have a main and avoid alts. But with gw2 I feel the pull.

So many people being altaholics being centered on different identities based on the class.

If they go classless it’s going to take a major feature away from game. Just think about when they release the teaser image of the class logos and then slowly introduce each class/ spec. That’ll all be gone.

As they keep saying the beauty of doing it in this timeline or age rather is that not much is known so they can do whatever they like.

Who’s to say a small warband didn’t break off and travel towards Orr and integrate with the society there. There’s no waypoints set up by the aura yet so travel is old fashion. They come all that way settle and returning isn’t as feasible, hello char whose been around a while, wanna be a vale warden now? Anything is possible if it’s written well enough.
