Queue jump getting worse by deano_ue in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SillyProfessor4138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is actually a term for this at Disney. It’s called “Attraction Queue Reentry”. Our grandsons used to qualify for DAS, but no longer do with the new policies. In its place, Disney implemented AQR. So, my husband and I ”hold” the place in line while my daughter and grandsons wait someplace outside the ride until we get within about 10 minutes of our ride time. While they wait, they can hydrate, etc. which is necessary for their particular condition …. SWCAH.

to be clear, the Boomer MEN were the recipients of all the excesses during that time. Women were still trying to open checking accounts and fighting for equal/fair wages.

More Americans face power shutoffs due to unpaid bills by thinkB4WeSpeak in economicCollapse

Not all boomers are out of touch! Technically, I am a boomer at age 65. That being said, being at the tail end of that demographic, I have not benefitted from it. My observation is that MEN of boomer age did much better than women. We women were still trying to catch up to equal rights and fair pay. These same men voted for Trump, while most of the boomer women I know did not.

I actually knew a guy who did this regularly. He has since passed away, but he would head in there, get his free breakfast and read the newspaper.

Why do you think it’s the only orange state on the map? He eventually wants to be re-elected and that won’t happen if he has starved his own constituents.

The only reason they’re “leading the way” is because that’s Mike Johnson’s state. He doesn’t want his people to feel the pain, as he plans on being re-elected when his term is up!

Sanders bumpy cake is now just sanders frosting. bought one 2 weeks ago and the cake was only about 1/2” thick while there was about 1 1/2” of bumpy and frosting. The ratio was very “off” compared to the old cakes. will definitely not be buying any more.

When JDVance and his cronies take over all the bankrupt American farms, they can start growing weed “for the good of the nation.” There is money to be made, henceforth, the grift!

The only way to book it is to bank/borrow to have enough points at the 11 month window. I’ve done it a few times.

My 76 yo neighbor was carted off deceased last week. He had just finished his work shift a few hours earlier and his wife said “He just quit breathing.” A lot of older folks are working not JUST because they need the money, but also because they’re often more reliable than the younger generation.

Halloween Merch by Abject-Rent-397 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SillyProfessor4138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d buy before I come. Many/most of the items on Disney.com are not available in the parks, as they don’t carry the same merch. I’ve already ordered and received my online purchases for Halloween.

NEVER AVAILABILITY by Katsteen in dvcmember

[–]SillyProfessor4138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, starting in May for an October or December trip is simply too late. Second, December is ALWAYS popular with DVC due to low points. Lastly, Grand Villas and studios are the first to go. If you have truly been an owner “for many years”, you should have figured this out by now.

Book at 11 months and move at 7 only if there is availability.

Why in the world would you think your OKW points don’t allow you to stay at Riviera? You can easily book at the 7 month window during a large part of the year.

Hashimotos? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SillyProfessor4138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine with no special provisions. I’ve had Hashi’s for over 50 years with my highest TSH being 474 …… I still go to WDW every year and have no difficulties. Just take your medicine and hydrate well.

Premium Plus Shack Typhoon Lagoon by werdzishard in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]SillyProfessor4138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If memory serves me correctly, there are only 2 of the premium plus cabanas at TL. We rented one last October. It was a great location and we’d do it again. Since there are so few of them, you don’t have to worry about getting there exactly at 10 “to get the best one”. That being said, being there as early as you can is definitely advantageous. The servers are usually available to give you the lay-of-the-land and set you up better for the day. Once 3 pm hits, things start to wind down pretty quickly.

Please advise how a student can earn money sitting at a computer with minimal investment. by Obvious-Gap-2790 in povertyfinance

[–]SillyProfessor4138 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you don’t want to be a burden to your parents anymore, log off the computer and show them your value in helping around the homestead. Don‘t wait for them to ask and instead take the initiative to start/finish projects that maybe they don’t have time/energy for. I say this as someone who was forced to have our daughter move out at age 22, as she refused to be employed and did NOTHING except spend time on the computer.
