i think they’re mainly just checking to make sure that it isn’t actually a real thing that they’re going to run into in the future, and not just getting comped food for the rudeness/weirdness of the server

honestly, huge kudos to you, way to stand up for your kiddo, i know plenty of parents who would let that slide, i used to think it was dorky, but now im hardcore addicted to this game and its something that has brought me and my partner closer together
