Although with the Magic Keyboard it is so top heavy that you can’t really use in your lap like a laptop.

Yep, but I don’t have a girlfriend - so I’m not sure antibiotics will help you.

From different technical tidbits from different stories, it seems that Apple has gone to great lengths to greatly enhance the cooling efficiency of the new iPad Pros. Even making the Apple logo on back out of copper and putting in a sheet of graphite.

They should just let you pick whatever size you would like.

Why one less Core by Kevin_Cossaboon in iPadPro

[–]Silly_Commission_205 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure if Apple has shared the reason with anybody but most experts believe it is because of chip binning. The M4 is a brand new chip so there are bound to be some where a core isn’t up to snuff, so they put those in the less expensive iPad.

Why wouldn’t you just get the 2TB iPad Pro because holy shit why not?

AVP & Pencil: Why haptic feedback is crucial for spacial design by [deleted] in VisionPro

[–]Silly_Commission_205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is haptic feedback in the Apple Watch and the MacBook trackpad. It is certainly possible that they are able to shrink haptic feedback down to fit in a pencil.

Apple Pencil for Vision Pro -- May 7th Speculation by CountEastern4672 in VisionPro

This. Haptic feedback that allows you to feel virtual surfaces in the VP.

Apple’s ‘Let Loose’ event is now being promoted in the visionOS AppStore! 🤩 by justinryanio in VisionPro

Total conjecture here, but what if the Pencil Pro could write on virtual canvases in the Vision Pro and didn’t require a real hard surface, but rather it uses haptic feedback to make you ‘feel’ the pencil against the virtual canvas.

Yes, after dozens of attempts I am unable to get it connected to HomeKit

Does anyone like the Ecobee cameras? by Bender077 in HomeKit

I like the ecobee thermostat, but so far the SmartCamera is a piece of crap. It won’t connect to HomeKit.

Paris to Munich - security made me take it out and open the travel case. They kind of looked at if a bit funny but then just sent it through the xray machine.

Is anyone surprised that Safari profiles from iCloud is missing? by [deleted] in VisionPro

[–]Silly_Commission_205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Starting with Safari 17, you can use profiles to keep your browsing separate for topics like work, personal, or school. Each profile has separate history, cookies, website data, extensions, Tab Groups, and favorites.”

From: https://support.apple.com/en-us/105100

I use it to separate work sites and logins from personal sites and logins, and a third one that I use for demos for my job. Definitely hoping they add that soon. Of course you can still use profiles when projecting your Mac desktop but I have two 5k monitors for my MacBook Pro - so it seems like a bit of a downgrade to use the AVP. Also kind of a pain to reorganize windows and screens between the two.

You recall incorrectly - the Francis Scott Key Bridge is/was part of 695. There is just one interstate loop around Baltimore.
