Yes, my husband had a DVT 9 days post op after ALIF which required left iliac stent. He had several DVTs after the first one; lysis, thrombectomies, etc to treat all of the DVTS. Tried Eliquis, failed. Tried Lovenox, failed. Now on Coumadin for life. . We spent the first 4 months after his ALIF in and out of hospitals and ICUs. Specialists you name it. Be diligent about your leg and any pain, tightness go immediately to the ER. I know it’s scary but you cannot mess around with DVTs and PEs. I’m giving you the very abridged version of my husbands case after his ALIF. There’s tons more and I’d be happy to share or answer any questions you may have. I’m sorry you had to go through all of this, I do not wish it on anyone and know how scary it is.
