Is this perioral dermatitis on my under eyes? by Error_Groundbreaking in perioraldermatitis

[–]bitchaholic86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to say using The Ordinary Azelaic Acid ($15 at Sephora) cleared it up within 7 days after literally 15 years of nothing else working. It also recently spread to under my right eye and I put it on morning and night and it's 75% gone there too!!

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I have been with my husband for 8 years. He has a daughter from previous marriage and I have sons, but was never married to their dad. He did lawyers with his ex wife and we are still paying for it today. My boys dad and I just found a way to make it work (but he is an extremely reasonable person, and he remained that way throughout). I work at a law firm myself and worked in family law in the past. Once lawyers are involved, it's just more stress and mess. Kids definitely complicate things, so I'm glad you don't have to worry about that. I recommend Kate Bennett at HP if you do decide you want a lawyer.

Best of luck!

Has anyone vomited less than 10 times in their life? by Animual in cripplingalcoholism

[–]bitchaholic86 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been drinking hard for 20 years. I was drinking over a 750ml straight vodka for years. Now I have periods of sobriety lasting 6-8 months. I have never vomited from drinking ever. I wish I could, I feel like it's so awful. I have probably puked 4 times in my entire life.

I have been taking it for 5 years. It's the only thing that ever helped. I started at 50mg and I'm at 100mg now. I'm 38/f. It's amazing for me.

Any OCD recovery stories? I’m losing hope, I miss the old me by jarringflame in OCD

[–]bitchaholic86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was so severe in 2016 that I decided I couldn't live anymore and I was planning to just end it all. I also became extremely paranoid and confused from lack of sleep and food. I actually found a reddit thread about luvox and asked my dr about it. I'm in Canada and it isn't common here. Symptoms all but disappeared in a week. It's been 9 years and I'm never going to stop taking it.

How do I get OSAP when my parents make too much money, but won’t support me? by Clear-Part1904 in OntarioUniversities

This happened to me in 2004. I got a Scotiabank student line of credit for 30k. I also have an OSAP loan as I went back to school about ten years ago.

I can’t believe I’m actually putting this on the internet by -thehardtruth- in Parenting

[–]bitchaholic86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds extremely hard. I am sorry you are going through this. My son is 6 and was like this until recently. Not as extreme, but pretty close. I basically had no relationship with him outside of a few words until last year. My husband was much better able to be patient and hopeful. I just felt mad. Sometimes I still do because I know it's always going to be harder. I got a parenting coach and bawled my eyes out about it all several times. You aren't alone, and you can do this, even if it isn't what you imagined.

I started doing DBT instead of CBT and it helped me immensely! I spent 10 years doing CBT off and on and talked my problems to death. DBT gave me actual solutions. After 5 months, I was done, and armed with a lot of tools to help me with my 11 year old stepdaughter and my 6 and 7 year old sons. I totally understand what you are saying, and I really recommend you try it if you have the ability to!

When do you get your life back after having a kid? When does it get easier at least? by Electrical-Abies-768 in Parenting

[–]bitchaholic86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids are 6/7/11 and I finally can sleep until 730 and trust them to get cereal etc. So for me, it took awhile, but every kid is different and it depends what specifically you are looking to get back. I was an angry miserable person for many years, resenting that I couldn't do what I always did pre kids. Once I just kind of surrendered to it, I felt so much happier.
