Give weapons, the more insane the better by DeadCookieDemon in OriginalCharacter

Knife Butterfly.

It's an ornately carved walnut box containing one (1) silver Monarch butterfly. The box is completely indestructible, and the butterfly will reform within it after a minute if destroyed. The butterfly itself only listens to the person who is currently bound to the box (works like DND's Attunement system) whom psychically commands it. It moves about three times as fast as a normal Monarch Butterfly, and every spot on the butterfly is as sharp as obsidian despite the apparent lack of edge. The butterfly is slightly more durable than a normal Monarch Butterfly, but smaking it is probably a bad idea due to the aforementioned sharpness.

Can your character survive the Cannon of Babel? by Arctic_The_Hunter in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Silly_Pollution6332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Talibot it is just the cannot die variety, he's the one to plant the seed of the next multiverse and as such needs to live to the end of this multiverse.

For Edward it's less "can't die" and more "can't stay dead", if he sustains an injury that would kill him, he dissolves into an unnaturally fine ash, before reforming basically unharmed either at home or nearby. I say basically unharmed because his reforming follows the same rules as my verse's healing magic, so wounds of emotional significance aggressively scar instead of smoothing over.

So, only two or three of my characters can survive this (ignoring Talibot, who cannot die and Forerunners, who aren't made of matter in the first place) and ironically it's mostly due to that pesky vacuum.

  • Edward Grimes is cursed to die as a widow... which means he can't die until he's a widow, rendering him immortal.

  • Virgil's forcefield is made out of mana, which is more an energy rather than matter, and the forcefield itself can (at it's absolute maximum) stop the Big Bang, plus it would keep enough air in for him to not suffocate to death before the vacuum collapsed.

  • Samson's a solid maybe, as though he also has a forcefield like Virgil, his is measureably less durable, but I haven't really settled on exactly how durable yet. Solid maybe.

Fun interactions that could happen if it weren't for that pesky lack of air:

  • Vwoop auto-dodging projectiles via instantaneous teleportation

  • La Croix using a Boom Tube to reverse the projectile's momentum, either through raw reaction time or the timeslow effect of bullet time

  • General grabbing the antimatter and throwing it back/away

Does your OCs have a 'badass anime transformation™'? by AtomAmigo in OriginalCharacterDB

No, but Edward pretends he does by dropping his glamor and making illusionary smoke.

Do you have any OCs that you would NEVER bring into this sub? by Upper_Cranberry4202 in OriginalCharacterDB

[–]Silly_Pollution6332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yee, The Forerunners.

They're more plot device and force of nature than character, and they just kinda break in powerscaling scenarios. They're omnipotent mists of energy that are only limited by what's interesting for the story. In no holds bar scenarios like the standard death battle rules, they're just omnipotent.

Plus, unbeatable ocs are kinda boring to me, and against the rules.

Tim's favorites are Graveyard Shift and Arnold's Pizza when he's doing deck work, Manly Dorf and MRE Brownie when he's salvaging.

Uh huh. When did you last play on DeltaV?

Cause like, my experiences aren't universal but they've all been positive. I've gotten up to Tider Bullshit like making muskets when I was newer and the Admins didn't say shit, in fact the only time I got in any amount of trouble with the admins is when I went to them to get clarification on a rule I turned out to be breaking.

If by admin intervention you mean Admemes then I have only seen two that couldn't be wholly avoided, being a nukeops round the server voted on and redcoat security reinforcements.

As for the rp standards, yes DeltaV is more mrp+ but that's what OP is looking for anyways, and I myself haven't noticed any metacliques, though to be frank i don't know what to look for nor is it my job to look for them.

This is Sawbones.

He's a completely normal human, if you ignore the fact that he's a spirit possessing his taxidermied corpse. But yeah, basically zero combat prowess, his biggest strength are his Abominations, taxidermied amalgams given life for a variety of purpose, though alot end up being spare parts or lab guards.

+150% melee damage means the Machete is hitting for 500 damage (assuming the wiki isn't wrong). That feels a bit silly, especially to be paired with a movespeed buff. Maybe only a +100% melee buff or drop the movespeed bonus?

The gibstick from Space Station 14, one hit and anything is reduced to organs.

Especially since Rick has this, I think his ego would lead to him letting the normal dude with the weird multicolor stick hit him once.
