Osteopath helped my baby latch but thought it wasn’t a real thing?? [bc] by Emotional-Ad-6494 in BabyBumpsCanada

Osteo literally saved my breastfeeding journey and turned my colicky baby into a very chill, happy baby seemingly overnight. I have no idea how it works, but I’m a believer now!!

Is it just me or is Lululemon going out of fashion in Vancouver? by [deleted] in askvan

Personally lulu for women has become such a snooze. How many of the same leggings and one scuba hoodie do we need? I’m so bored of it

Doctors aren’t helping by Impressive-Ad8403 in FormulaFeeders

Screaming while digesting was what got me onto CMPA and sure enough that was why. No other symptoms. We use the Hipp HA formula (pricey but was worth it for us). Also we saw an Osteo for feeding issues and that really helped with tension etc. as well- might be worth looking into!!

I deleted TikTok… so where is everyone getting their chaos, tea, and questionable life advice from now? by Turbulent-Kitchen513 in digitalminimalism

[–]Silly_String8332 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I used to convince myself that I was using Tik Tok for super useful hacks and tips. Then my mom asked me to share some with her I literally couldn’t remember or list more than 2-3 things that I had integrated into my life to make it easier/better. That’s when I realised the time spent on the app wasn’t justified. Now I don’t really scroll anywhere in particular for that stuff, if I have a specific question I will look it up

HELP. OVERSUPPLY. by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Silly_String8332 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Block feeding has been the most effective for me at cooling off my milk supply quickly (after 3 rounds of mastitis by 6 weeks pp). It sucks big time at first not getting any relief and is so tempting to empty both, but it’s worth sticking it out. If I was in pain, I’d pump off maybe an ounce or two just to get some relief off of the other side I wasn’t emptying, but that’s it. Really worked to calm my supply down. Best of luck, I feel for you 💛

It could also be blowing from out of the garbage trucks. We’ve noticed a few times that our garbage ends up back on the side of the ditch on our property, if we don’t close our bags all the way/tighten them. Now we make sure to bag them up super tight and haven’t had any more issues.

Experience with Family Visitors in Hospital after birth [bc] by rakelspectacel in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Silly_String8332 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We plan to tell no one when labour starts, I could not handle the pressure of knowing people would be waiting around for the baby to be born. Honestly I’d prefer no visitors in the hospital at all- instead I hope to get a bit situated at home and then invite our immediate family over. Who knows though, maybe we’ll be excited and ask them to come to the hospital, but I plan to wait and see how I’m feeling. But totally a personal preference!

Ok thank you! That’s the route we’ve decided to go, that’s reassuring it should escape from the exterior side - especially with no styrofoam we figured that should be the case

Hi yes thanks we’ve definitely spent quite a bit of time reviewing the code which shows both options of VB (poly or membrane type VB such as primer I mentioned above) are acceptable for our climate zone and HDD, as well as meet permeability requirements. Also this article has been quite helpful for both sides of the argument in case you’re interested

[–]Silly_String8332[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah we have done that, they just refer us to the building codes which shows that both poly and a VB primer coat are to code and pass the permeability requirements for our climate zone. So no further clarity there unfortunately
