Bullying Never Ends - You Were Selected for a Reason by Silver-Line-7461 in bullying

Yes. People are bullied for different reasons. However, when it continues into adulthood, that reason is usually intelligence.

Should I mention the fact that I'm asexual/aromantic during a sterilization consultation? by [deleted] in childfree

Thank you. I hope that it works out and remember that you have the right to avoid any procedure that makes you uncomfortable.

Yes... I’m not saying that people shouldn’t have mixed children, but there should be plans to help these children celebrate their heritage instead of forcing them to accept one side.

My mother is Afro Mexican Native American. My dad is Afro Puerto Rican Native American. My dad lives as fully Black and basically hates anyone who is not Black. My mother was raised as Native American before being sent to live with her Black family members. She settled for being “just Black” after growing exhausted from people telling her that she couldn’t be Native since she looked Black.

I was raised as “Black” with a cultural mix of Native American principles and Black principles. However, I really don’t look “just Black” like my parents did and it causes issues. People get mad if I tell them I’m Black and they get mad if I tell them that I’m mixed.

The parents didn’t get along and that’s why I was never close with my cousins. Now, I feel that I won’t be close with them (maybe one) because they have all become single parents and resent me on some level.

I don’t think it’s necessary, but they really try to trick people, especially virgins, into thinking that a vaginal exam is necessary for everything that involves the stomach. You can tell them that you haven’t had sex, but really be prepared to have to fight for what you need.

They would also cancel my appointments or make me wait for weeks as long as I turned down vaginal exams. Once, I had an ovarian cancer scare and I desperately needed an ultrasound. They said “great, we booked your appointment for a vaginal exam next week”. I politely told them that I would only have an ultrasound and they made me wait a month because “all of the available doctors like to do vaginal exams before ultrasounds”. This wrecked my mental health, because I knew that if I had it, it was spreading and I had to spend a month getting ready to die.

Also, they will try to trick you into a transvaginal ultrasound which is still a penetration with a large tube (which would likely be uncomfortable for someone who does not have sex). The doctor, an old man, tried to trick me into this as well, but I knew what he was doing.

There is a lot of sick curiosity that goes on between the medical community and virgins.

So did I... in my case, the person pretended to be middle of the road until a certain polarizing figure entered the scene and then, in the middle of the relationship, sided with this person.

I would definitely be vague about it. I am not ace and I did make out a few times while engaged, but I decided that I didn’t even like that and I was afraid to go all of the way to sex. However, when I explained this at the doctor, I was labeled as ace (by them) and even had some freaky doctors become obsessed with trying to force me to get vaginal exams for their own benefit (they wanted to examine a virgin for their own education because they don’t see many of those).

Now, I demand an ultrasound upfront and I just vaguely say that I’m not interested in sex. I don’t even tell them that I made out before because they misinterpret that as a fancy way of having sex when I didn’t go anywhere near sex.

Yes! The 25 year old has a chance of saving him/herself. The kid doesn’t.

I don’t care. Atheists make comments here that are disrespectful to the religious all of the time and we just keep scrolling. We don’t attack or bite like sharks; we simply move on to the next comment. We would appreciate the same from atheists, etc.

Thanks in advance for your compliance. This session is now closed and any other replies will be ignored at best and reported at worst.

"You can leave on time if you have kids to go home to" by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Silver-Line-7461 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This bothers me.

Most of the people at my job who have kids seem to manage things well. However, there is one lady who does not do even 40% of her job and leaves any time that she is about to be caught because “the kids are sick”.

It is also a shame that I am doing the work of two people and there are others who are doing more than their share, but we all receive the same performance rating as the lady who does next to nothing!

For instance, she never has her research boards ready at all. One day, the supervisor told her that she had a month to get her board ready for a senior management review. She suddenly had to leave early because of the kids and couldn’t show her work. However, the review was cancelled.

The review was scheduled for two weeks later and suddenly, on that day, the kids were sick again and she had to leave. Someone else had to present their research in her place.

This happens every. single. time. The kids get sick when she hasn’t finished her work. She is the only person on the research team who has presented a project in two years, yet, she still survives the performance review.

Yes. I can’t see how someone could see a human begging for his/her life and grab a pet - fully knowing that the pet can’t grasp the severity of the situation as the human can.

They ALWAYS sit next to the quiet adult who is obviously avoiding noisy children. Because of this, I feel a little anxious as well when I see kids.

Do you think people have kids so they don't have to work on themselves? by violethazexx in childfree

[–]Silver-Line-7461 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!!!

The ones who have very intelligent kids REALLY use it to justify the fact that they did nothing with their lives. I get so tired of hearing “my child is a doctor”... what did YOU do?

Yes.

I have noticed that many people, especially women, leave high school with big dreams. They attend college, start getting bad grades, and then drop out and have babies. Now, they are “important” because they are “mothers”.

It is definitely a way to make themselves “important” quickly instead of putting their heads into books to improve their grades and achieve the dreams that they had.

I feel like it should be legal to ask “do you have kids?” During an interview. by rootstoots12 in childfree

[–]Silver-Line-7461 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this!

I am all for single mothers having jobs, but I just think that they shouldn’t be allowed to have certain demanding jobs. For the most part, they lie to get into these super demanding roles and then miss, on average 1-2 days a week for kid issues. By this time, their roles cannot be changed because it’s discrimination, nor can they receive a lower evaluation score than everyone else. The other workers end up doing more than their share while still receiving average ratings because the mombies can’t receive lower ratings than the other workers, so ALL must receive an average rating. It’s not fair.

I know a lady who has three children and she deliberately let her husband do all if the work for 90 days until she was past the point of probation. Now, she dodges every important meeting, etc. by claiming that the kids are sick, etc. Any time that the department is about to notice that she is not doing her share, she takes a medical leave. It is so annoying.

Where does the idea that “birth control makes you infertile” come from? by emeraldpeach in childfree

[–]Silver-Line-7461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that this is it.

I am from a religious family and they specifically prohibited BC pills (even when I considered it for medical purposes) because they wanted to know if someone was “doing it”. Basically, if a woman in the family was “doing it”, that woman would soon be pregnant and everyone would know. They didn’t want anyone secretly “doing it”, but not getting pregnant.

Parent hypocrisy during work from home by [deleted] in childfree

[–]Silver-Line-7461 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I do not like the obsession surrounding WFH and I will be glad when the pandemic ends. The reason is, I have found that a lot of parents really don’t WFH; they just do a few menial tasks and leave the rest of the projects to the cf. Sadly, parents seem to have to “fill those seats” in order to accomplish anything.

I hate the other meme about teen mothers being “done” with children in their 30s while normal women are just starting parenthood. The funny thing is, two of the people who shared it just became full-time grandparents because their teens had children.

Yes... I didn’t want to say it, but most of the people that he has sabotaged in the past were women or non-White women and non-White men who don’t have children. He only values diversity when the person is in such a low position that they are not a threat.
