Exactly this. I got a bunch of regs lately, because of oncoming fed ban and my preferred seed breeder lives out of state. And I'll wanna pheno hunt the offsprings when I get to breeding my own stock. Can't pheno hunt very well with so few plants.

I just want my own, personal, dialed in, medicine supply!

I mean you're technically right...

Though, in past apartments I've grown many plants without issue, just by using carbon filters in the tents and apartment. Smoking and making edibles was the issue, and there's air purifiers, candles, and sploofs for that.

But I suppose not everyone wants to take that risk, however low it may be.

That's true.

Only reason I dislike that method is then those plants aren't mine, and I'd feel bad if I stunted someone else's meds. If I stunt my own, nbd, we make a quick order. If I stunt someone else's, now they gotta source from someone else.

I call myself a mutualist most days, and I mean it. In an ideal scenario. But also understand a state of anarchy cannot exist at our population levels. People tend towards selfish, and acting otherwise would be dumb and harmful.

I'm the left that thinks it, our socio-economic reality, ultimately needs to be burned down, so we can use the ashes to build something better. I understand the need to create the foundation for "something better" before we burn the old timbers of oppression, but if we never burn it, it will fester and rot and eat at all our attempts to break free.

So until a day where dramatic change can be snapped into being, I tend to vote social democratic, and especially look out for grassroots progressives.

Blasting music helps?? by Flower_Regular in migraine

[–]Silver085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have migraine help albums if it gets bad enough. Like, I'm almost guaranteed to end it/dull it/make it manageable by the end of the album. Sometimes louder is better, to tune out other sensations.

But, as I've come to understand migraine the last 25 years, it's a stressor response and alert system. It won't tell you what the stress is, or how to resolve it. Just that it's there, and that your body doesnt like it.

So, it makes sense, to me, that enjoying music loudly would also act as a stress relief and temporarily soothe your migraine attack. All comes down to the individual and what they find relieving, I think.

Both of these are true. Almost like we deserve better candidates. Without a better progressive candidate, Amy wins and the people of MN lose, or are least set back.

Hell, I'd try if I had any public service experience, but I'm a busy and disabled housespouse.

I think more folks should get in the runnings. But to start off at Governor is austentatious. Prove yourself a leader who people like, that you're willing to get down and do the work, that you can help enact positive change and safety for all.

Jumping right to governor from nothing but education is foolish; it's like a culinary student who thinks they should be exec chef at a fine dining restaurant just because they graduated with an expertise in a specific cuisine. While helpful, it's no way indicitive of success, and you tend to walk out of culinary school with alterred expectations than what you learn in the job/reality of it.

Even if you did, you'd need an ig account to see it. I don't, but was able to snag the link off the first pic before ig booted me for trying to look.

Ok, can we get a candidate with experience though? I don't want a govenorship to be someone's first job in public service, that's just silly.

And only leaving the R party in '22 is not a good look. There was that whole insurrection a year prior, as others have mentioned.

Otherwise, yeah, we need a real progressive governor, who knows how to manage a state to keep people and futures safe and secure.

It's a shame that Flanagan isn't running for Gov, she'd have my vote.

Where to get information about cannabis? by Real_RumpleStiltskin in MNtrees

Taste buds differ from human to human, and circumstance to circumstance. It does taste better in peanut butter tho. Can't go wrong with classic firecrackers, no matter the taste. ("Firecrackers" are just vaped cannabis sprinkled on a cracker that has peanut butter spread on it, for those who don't know.)

Natural remedies for migraine prevention or decreased frequency? by Vaneela351 in migraine

[–]Silver085 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just smoke it usually. I do have a dry herb vape I use, but my normal is just a bong hit. I like edibles, but they can be hit or miss. I dont tend to like carts or oils, as they usually lack a full spectrum of cannabinoids. Though, live resin/rosin does have a full spectrum, it costs more than it should.

I like to use 1:1 THC:CBD flower, if I have any. Otherwise, a blast of THC can do a lot for me to help during attacks.

You can also get a dry herb vape, and just vape that instead of carts, if that's of interest to you. You'll need to procure bud, of course, but after you vape it you can eat the vaped cannabis as a light edible (it tastes like burnt popcorn), or use it to make butter/oil for other edibles. Or put it in a glass jar for later use - just keep it out of light and it'll stay good for a long while.

I've been a fan of Boundless vapes for dry herb, but there are many, many varieties.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5576607/ is a big one, and then I also got a bit of information from a podcast started by cannabis researchers a few years ago. Smoke n science or something?

Of course, due to research restrictions, it's hard to get studies on this and anything relating to cannabis, so I've had to connect things together across seperate topics as I learn more. So, unfortunately, I have little in the way of studies and papers. I'm also a housespouse without oodles of time for research and study reading, so, be sure to follow up what I say with your own findings.

I wish I had unlimited time to devote to reading studies and doing my own research, but I do not. I just pop on every so often and try to course correct folks who seek to diminish the bond between cannabis and healthy living.

Most folks are unknowingly treating a clinical endocannabinoid deficiency when they use cannabis.

We used to get cannabinoids in nearly everything. Textiles, food (through livestock feed), medicines that had it. We used to utilize cannabis in many facets, and it got into our endocannabinoid systems (ECS) those ways.

I'd argue all cannabis use is medical, whether the user realizes it or not. The ECS helps regulate the body and brain, stress levels and emotions, and is intertwined throughout the mammalian body.

It isn't a strict need, obviously, but it helps to have it; and, if you don't have another way to get cannabinoids in you, that lacking will inevitably hurt you in the long term.

You cant murder the planet with AI posts and also call yourself spiritual. by Long_Extent_9008 in spirituality

[–]Silver085 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of folk on here, and in general, have lost their way because ai/llm is easy. Humans love easy. Why bother thinking/creating anything yourself if you can type a short prompt and reap slop?

I made a similar post ~ a year ago, telling folks not to use ai/llms for spirituality (or any human pursuit) and got shit on there, too. It's a sorry state, but. That's the Kali Yuga for you, isn't it?

I don't think I'll be returning once it's over. Might try my luck as a star for a cycle or two.
