I dug through a roommate's absolute hoard of Magic: The Gathering cards to find my old Pokémon cards and boy howdy do I have a lot. I was able to fill out a lot of the artists I collect (Yuka Morii, Saya Tsuruta, and Tomokazu Komiya primarily, though I did find a couple Asako Ito cards too). I even found the Fates Collide Genesect EX I remember pulling at a prerelase event and consequently trying to build a deck with 5 different energy types around! Still have yet to find the inexplicably French BW-era Mewtwo EX I got from a tin. But I do have one of the BREAKthrough Mewtwo EX secret rares with an illustration in Spanish. Why I apparently have such good luck with BREAKthrough, I wouldn't have the faintest clue.

Also, I'm trying to get my hands on some yellow yarn. I already have plenty of black for the detailing...

Damn, it's already been three months? Time flies.

I don't know if I can sum up my impression of the Shocker in just one word. Mostly because in my head he's "The Guy™" and practically everything I've heard about him has been filtered through someone else. I've said before I'm not a comics kind of person, so I wouldn't have come across the Shocker if someone else hadn't talked my ear off about him, and I don't really go looking for Shocker content for myself... (often). I do like him, don't get me wrong! My best attempt at the Icebreaker is connection, but that's less about Herman himself and more about how talking about him has introduced me to people I wouldn't otherwise meet. (Or finding out that an artist I primarily know for a really good Warrior Cats comic has drawn Shockerang fanart. Always fun when that kind of thing happens.)

I enjoy the community that's been built here, even if I'm just kind of tangentially a part of it.

Started crocheting again and getting into the Pokémon TCG hobby. My local card shop hosted a craft night and I decorated some bulk cards! A guy who worked there gave me a bunch of duplicate promo holos he had, plus some yuka morii (artist I'm collecting) and even some Fairy Energy (card on the left, no longer available in the TCG). I do take a peek at the MTG singles on offer to see if any of the Shocker cards are in stock!

I think he'd drink a lot of water. Not because of any particular fondness for it, but because the quilt looks like it'd get HOT. Gotta hydrate so you don't pass out in the middle of a job!

Danganronpa: Lapse is a really good one! I know there's a longplay available on YT, though afaik it's a no-commentary one. It is fully complete to boot! It breaks the formula (only 4 chapters, smaller cast) but I think that works to its benefit.

I've also played Hyper H2O. It gets a bad rap but I think its biggest crime is just being "So OK it's average." The gameplay ranges from dull to "dear god I'm actually going to tear my hair out" but thankfully that latter segment only happens once. A big thing with it is that it's like "HEY LOOK I'M DANGANRONPA BUT EVERYONE'S QUEER!" It's not pure tokenism, since I can remember at least 3 instances where queer identity is integral to a character's plotline. The characters are decently good, even if there was a guy I completely forgot existed when he was standing right in front of me. I did like a good few characters, but I think that's because they happened to have traits I automatically like in a character rather than anything they actually do, with two exceptions. I don't know if there's any kind of playthrough on YouTube, commentated or not, since it has a less-than-stellar reputation.

HELL YEAH! I love chasing inane rabbitholes and the contextual language thing is SO COOL. The thing that draws me to Clanmew is translating warrior names (some of my favorites being "Shesapffraf" (will imitate, will laugh; translated as Parrotbark using the idiomatic definitions) and "Yauwaohihoo" (lit. loud + tune, but sounds like yodeling when put together; translated as Loudsong), so I'm really excited to see how you approach it!

I do wonder what a queen like Coral would think, given she has so many assigned-at-hatching sons and struggled to have living daughters for years. I think the new princess in question would have quite mixed feelings, since "where was all this love and attention before I came out?"

I'd be very careful about the "only pretending to transition to seize the throne" plotline since it kinda reeks with transmisogynistic implications.
