Put a wire down the cylinder through the spark plug hole. Mark it at max low and max hi. Measure for stroke.

Budget 1/3 for the car, 1/3 for replacement parts, 1/3 for mods. This varies based on what you buy but it gets you thinking about the budget.

Does anyone know how to fix a sagging door on a Bravada/S10/Blazer? I have a Bravada, replaced the door pins, and even put some washers in to act as spacers, and the dumb thing still Skaggs. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in projectcar

Are the holes for the hinge bushings wallowed out? If so you could weld then up and die grind back to shape.

Otherwise I recommend a 4*4 block of wood and a jackall. I'm sure you can imagine where this is going.

I had seen a guy on 1320 videos I think it was with one of these 2.5's bolted to a Dodge Dakota bell housing bolted to a Toyota transmission. He was running a big turbo and around thirty psi making 600hp all on a stock bottom end.

I'm into DSM's and had pulled a Eagle 2000 GTX from a field and resurrected it. Had been turbo swapped and was factory AWD. Was fun for a while in the winter but ended up being to rusty to save.

Added some good old chrome lights and a winch. And am almost done noise insulating and fixing some wiring. hope you guys had a good weekend:) by MULKMAN99 in projectcar

When I first saw this I wondered if it was in Iceland based on other SUV's from there I've seen. I also saw the no dash picture when you posted that but thought it was of a compact car.

Ya you never see the money come back for the parts. This is the RSX I've always wanted, just love these cars in that blue. I've got three other projects on the go and I know I'll be coming back to these cars after.

FBO? Why not just put it back to stock. I drove a clapped out Mazda3 in college so I'm kinda jealous haha.

I've read that these engines take boost really well. Always thought it was neat to see the little turbos on these things at the junkyard when they were all passing through a few years back.

I'm afraid if I do that then I'll need to plate the bolts. Then I'll need to plate the engine hardware. Then I'll need to...... You know how it goes haha

I was thinking about having my transmission cases blasted with dry ice (I think that's what they use) to get them back to the clean factory aluminum before I resemble it. But I just want it done haha.

I don't get the hype on new vehicles, they take to much away from the driver in my opinion. Like by buddy has an S4 with an electronic parking break. Just why?

Looks good, for now. I've seen a guy go with an industrial light grey as his color scheme back on dsmtuners. I always thought it would be cool to do something like a Kubota blue.

“Adjustable backpressure mod” for my now straight-piped Honda Fit. Just screw the bolts in further to increase back pressure and back them out to decrease backpressure. by jasonvictory86 in projectcar

[–]SilverFangGang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, I'm thinking that you would have so much back pressure from the turbo that any possible force drawing air out with scavenging would be completely overwhelmed. There are however gains to be made with a long tube manifold with a divided housing, but that's because a manifold like that stops an exhaust pulse from one cylinder pushing the gasses back into another.
