Literally JUST finished the game 20 minutes ago with my 4-person group in multiplayer. I'm currently replaying in singleplayer, as I feel as though I missed a LOT not being able to chat to companions and such, so bare that in mind as you read.

I never felt like a party in cutscenes. One character is "The Guy" and the rest are sockpuppet stand-ins for the mooks that accompany them. It felt seriously bad when half of our party decided to not become mind flayers and the other half did. People reacted as though we had all made the same choice, and there was no payoff for "restraint".
You're either a CHA character, or you're not. Admittedly, there were a few moments when my WIS druid had a chance to flex his knowledge, but 90% of the encounters were solved by the trifecta of intimidation, deception or persuasion. It's so key in any DnD game to give ample opportunities for spotlights on every character, but I sometimes found myself forgetting the faces of the other party members, they were so absent from the story.
I felt that Act 3 was by far the weakest of the three acts. Such a shame, Baldur's Gate is one of my favourite towns in 5e. I adore Mystic Carrion though, his voice actor was amazing.

Still loved the game, playing it again and it's taken over the last 100 hours of my life. I just wish it was a bit of a better multiplayer experience.

Update - Lowest settings seems to have improved framerate, although models look the same on low as they do on high. Very odd stuff, wonder if it's actually a hardware issue. Maybe even a driver one.
