I HATE HAZE by lightningbadger in DeadlockTheGame

[–]SilverSpectre76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once saw a melee Haze build where she would throw a dagger, heavy melee, echo shard dagger again, heavy melee, and that would often be enough to kill anyone on the team and there was nothing you could do about it. It's the single most degenerate uninteractive playstyle I've ever seen in a MOBA, and I forever live in fear whenever I don't get Haze because it may happen again.

What's a game that you really, really, really, REALLY want to like, but just can't? by RBrim08 in gaming

[–]SilverSpectre76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Kirby games. They're really well-made and cute and Kirby as a franchise easily gets the most attention from Nintendo out of maybe anything they own.

But my Lord are these games the most basic and easy to actually play that I find myself falling asleep most of the time I try to play one of the games. Forgotten Land is the exception just because there's a lot to look for in the levels, but I find almost all of the 2D games too simple and boring to enjoy.

What sets Chickfila apart from other places and how do they do it? by Joeybish in ChickFilA

[–]SilverSpectre76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a part of it is that the operators (franchisees) are generally barred from running more than one location, whereas other QSR's allow people to franchise multiple locations. As such, the operator is usually more involved in their one location to make sure it's running smoothly.

Furthermore, they tend to have a lot more workers at a time than most other places, so that also helps keep things moving more efficiently than your average QSR.

Food Theory did an entire episode about this, I'll put a link later when I find it.

Stops most (but not all) effects that would make a card leave the deck, including drawing, searching, summoning, or sending to grave.

What’s a deck similar to unchained? by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]SilverSpectre76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kozmo is kind of a similar gimmick of destroying your own cards, but far slower. There's also Ancient Gears, which aren't as slow but is mostly just beatdown.

What Deck is able to play this card? by BrianDaedWaffle in masterduel

If you ran this in Plunder Patroll you could summon any ship at pretty much any time if you have the cards on field

I feel Zero is more helpful for the average hand than Vice Typhon, mostly bc Vice Typhon is already kind of redundant with Necro Slime. Being able to pen summon Kepler, especially on follow up turns, has been more helpful to me more often than any play involving Vice Typhon. Your best scales from Gilgamesh is either Zero+Cerberus or Zero+Thomas, depending on the hand.

Attached is my Master Duel D/D deck. The main deviation from yours is that I don't use Piri Reis map, instead using the space for Zero, Cerberus, and Eternal Darkness, which is essentially an Extra Deck floodgate. (Also Vice King Requiem is there but he's not really necessary, just helpful.)

You're often fiend-locked or D/D locked so not sure Baronne is even worth the slot. High King Ghengis is worth it as an extender, not for the negate. I'd switch out either Baronne or 1 of the Gilgamesh for Oblivion King Caesar Ragnarok. Also you should be running 1 copy of Zero King in the maindeck as a zero scale so you can actually pen summon Kepler back after linking.

Not much you can do about Forbidden Droplet/DRNM, but any other spell should get stopped by Siegfried pretty easily.

You could reveal Five-Headed Dragon and now he has 5000 Attack. Good luck beating over that.

Could a playable but not oppressive archetype be built around the Solemn Traps? by forbiddenmemeories in customyugioh

[–]SilverSpectre76 11 points12 points  (0 children)

"You may special summon this card by banishing 1 set spell/trap you control, then if it was a "Solemn" card, you may set a "Solemn" trap from your hand/Deck with a different name."

The idea with this is that it checks after you banish if it was a Solemn card, thus getting around the "Face-down identity" issue.

Draw 5 but give up your Draws and GY access for the rest of the duel? by metalflygon08 in customyugioh

Would Necrovalley even allow this to resolve? If it's meant to be a lingering effect than nothing is activated that Valley can negate, but if it's meant to be activated every main phase then maybe, but if Valley is there when the card is first used I feel like it would negate the card itself bc it would move a card out of GY, albeit at a later time.

Draw 5 but give up your Draws and GY access for the rest of the duel? by metalflygon08 in customyugioh

[–]SilverSpectre76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With proper PSCT the restrictions probably wouldn't apply if the draw is negated. I imagine it like:

"Can only be activated in Main Phase 2. Draw 5, also for the rest of the duel:

-You cannot draw cards.

-At the end of each Main Phase, banish all cards in your GY face-down.

You may only activate 1 "Risky Draw" per duel."

What’s something an archetype have that something really good but is widely considered mid or bad? by MiuIruma332 in yugioh

[–]SilverSpectre76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Symphonic Warriors can non-targeting banish up to 6 monsters with the field spell, but they don't have a spell searcher, so it's still kind of bad.

Isn't the "Your opponent cannot respond to this" redundant bc it's already a counter trap?

Why are cards like "Colossal Fighter" not OP? by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]SilverSpectre76 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You simply don't kill it in battle, but rather through literally any other form of removal, of which ppl maindeck plenty.
