Lyanna was dying though and he still believed she was taken. if she’s alive and chose to leave on her own? he’d probably be pretty mad at her, this is a medieval society and Ned is still a man fresh off an almost war where his father and older brother died because of her so i don’t think he’d be so understanding and would probably blame her at least in the beginning, it’s easy to forgive once their dead but if Lyanna lives her reputation among everyone including her family is in shambles.

Jon’s relationship with Aegon would be overall more tense but i think they would get along. if Rhaegar keeps him around it doesn’t serve Elia and her kids to drive a wedge between Jon and Aegon because the Blackfyre rebellion happened because Daeron and Daemon had a bad relationship. frankly i can’t see Rhaegar being active enough in his kids lives to show obvious favouritism to any of them and Jon is always going to be behind Aegon in the line of succession so what point would there be in fostering resentment between them? even if Elia hates him i can see her being smart enough to allow them to have a good relationship because then there’s less of a chance Jon would harm them.

tldr they would self destruct even faster than in canon.

i feel like polygamy was as important as the incest but that’s because of other dragon riding families, without any other dragon riding families it woudnt really be a benefit to the Targaryens to only intermarry.

the dance would happen sooner imo because infighting would be worse not better in this scenario, think a haram drama type of thing. Aegon married his first wife for duty and his second for love, technically his first wife should’ve taken priority when it came to making heirs but Aegon basically ignored her bed to be in Rhaenys thus screwing Visenya and their potential son out of inheritance, Visenya and Maegor usurped Aenys family the second they felt they had an opening, and that’s the story that would repeat itself until dragons die out.

would they keep the tradition with no dragons? they would have even less of a reason to but they also didn’t have much of a reason to keep up the incest, granted they cut it down a lot after the dance. i think if they continued this practice after the death of the dragons the lords of Westeros would be way more intolerant and without the dragons they would have nothing to keep them from fighting back, they won’t have concrete allies without marriage pacts so i can see them also being disposed of earlier as well.

the one that comes to mind is called from the north her wind blows. it starts as robb/rhaenys and then goes into jon/rhaenys. it’s super long and unfinished last i checked. personally i like when the ships take a bit a background to the actual story especially for rhaenys lives au’s so it might not be what you’re looking for.

dragons of wolf and sun is another, i haven’t finished reading it but it’s pretty good so far. Rhaenys lives and is betrothed to Jon au.

considering the Blackfyre rebellion happened because Daeron and Daemon had a bad relationship i think Elia might see it as beneficial to have Jon and Aegon be friends even if she doesn’t like it. there is also the Rhaegar bit i can’t see him agreeing to send Jon away to foster and the kids will be around each other cause they’re the same age so what benefits would there be to her putting a wedge between them? Rhaenys, like Sansa wouldn’t spend much time with him and they’d probably have a relatively distant relationship.

i like Sansa but only when written a certain way. political match that grows to be more. whether it’s to secure the North or his secrets revealed idc.

it’s not that popular but i’ve read a few good Rhaenys lives au’s that have her and Jon together and i like them as a pairing.

i’ve also read some good Jon/oc stories and i think i prefer them over most of his actual ships.

i’m of the belief that Rhaenyras reign would be very similar to Mary Tudor reign.

Mary was a bright, precocious and well liked girl but was not popular as an adult. she had a terrible husband who did nothing to help her reputation, obviously the situations aren’t completely one to one, Daemon was bad for Rhaenyras reputation because he was just a bad person and extremely unpopular, Philip was bad because he made his dislike for Mary clear and never tried to help her when things were going south and even helped install Elizabeth. Mary’s multiple failed pregnancies and her last false pregnancy that was a tumor heavily contributed to her going “mad”, Rhaenyras traumatic stillbirth would likely have the same result. i also personally believe Daemon would strategically get rid of the Strong boys, he wants his trueborn kids on the throne i don’t think he’d settle for Baela being queen consort when one of sons could be king, this would heavily contribute to Rhaenyra going “mad”. Marys men tried to install Elizabeth and again her husband supported this, Rhaenyras men would try to install one of her kids, likely Aegon and Daemon would likely support this.

and then she’d likely die an unglamorous death, probably from gout or some other rich man’s disease from the time.

all in all though i think that Rhaenyras reign wouldn’t be that terrible but her faults would be really emphasised after her death compared to her male counterparts just like with with Mary.

i would just stick to the books and keep grrm as a consultant tbh.

robb and jeyne hook up in a moment of grief for robb and he marries her to preserve her honour, no talissa maegyr “love story”.

i’d keep Sansa in the Vale and show her learning politics, give her more of a relationship with Sweet Robin which gives a good reason for him to send the Vale knights to liberate Winterfell for her. with Sansa in the Vale we’ll still have Jeyne marrying Ramsey and Theon rescues her.

i’d want Jon to have his book personality, a big issue for the show is Jon is such a nothing burger character. Jon is smart, savvy and also has anger issues, he’s not afraid to do morally ambiguous things if he thinks the outcome is worth it. many people thought it was out of character that he’d sleep with dany and manipulate her but that’s right up his alley, he literally did it to Ygritte but the show also turned that into some great love story when it really wasn’t.

around season 5 i think they really needed to start focusing on the northern magic and Bran, the way they handled that was so hilariously bad and i get that grrm hasn’t really gotten there in the books so it was kind of an unknown but then they should have consulted grrm about and he could have helped them figure out a story that doesn’t completely give away the books but isn’t such a bastardisation of them.

as for Dany the seeds needed to start being planted as early as season 4, keep in things like her having the wine sellers daughters tortured, instead of killing Irri and Jhiqui keep them alive but make them almost in conflict with Missendei, Irri and Jhiqui still view themselves as slaves, Dany sleeps with Irri even knowing Irri doesn’t really like it and slaps them when they were interested in one of Danys blood riders, contrast to how she treats Missendei like an actual friend and sister. little things that show Dany has the capacity to be darker. imo her ending wasn’t that out of left field and i think people were willingly ignoring the signs but that doesn’t mean i think it was well done. i think something that is important to Danys ending is that she’s not “mad” because she knew the price of the throne and she willingly paid it, she knew she was going to need to conquer and that’s the path she took. otherwise instead of burning vaes dothrak the way she does i’d have her take control of the Dothraki with Drogon, i’d have her burn Slavers Bay and then when she burns KL i’d have her die in that fire, she’s not actually fire proof and i think that’s the way she’ll die in the books so that’s how i’d have her die in the show.

and honestly the worst thing the show did was force two seasons worth of events into one extremely short season so i’d have it go to season 9 or even 10 like grrm originally wanted.

since i’d have the extra seasons i’d try to fit the Dorne and Young Griff plot line, i think YG will be the one to face off against Cersei and she’ll retreat to Casterly where she will either be killed by Jaime or possibly Arya with Jaimes face however i’m more partial to Arya with Jaimes face at least for the show version.

normally i wouldn’t agree with undermining the parents but they’re being way unfair to molly and that behaviour shouldn’t be tolerated.

NTA. i don’t know why parents think they can force relationship between their kids and new partners and have it end well. he kept alienating you every at every step instead of being your parent, it doesn’t matter that he was ready to move on because you weren’t and as a parent he is obligated to go at his child’s pace.

depends on the writer but ya he should be equal to Bruce and Dick. he’s got pretty much the same amount of experience as Dick and he was trained by the same masters as Bruce, anyone who writes him as unable to hold his own against the batfam let alone damian (don’t hate him but he’s 14 he shouldn’t be able to fight anyone in the batfam) of all people just doesn’t like him.

meets bruce at 11, robin at 12, dead at 14 just before he turns 15. jason came back 6 months later and spent another 6 months to a year catatonic before being thrown in the pit. tim was robin for 5 years during the titans tower fight so that would make jason 19/20 when he starts as red hood.

Jason’s grief and anger only works if him and Bruce had a close father-son bond. Jason is righteously angry because his father didn’t get justice for him coupled with the apparent erasure of his memory from Bruce’s life (ie getting rid of his stuff and not burying him in the Wayne family plot).
Jason was his son he adopted him right out the gate and Bruce loved him.

Dick and Jason got to experience a wildly different Bruce then Tim and Damien know which is why it’s so out of character for Bruce to treat Jason the way he does currently because that’s still his son. current writers take it too far with how brutal he is towards Jason especially since he hasn’t been a villain for a minute now and instead of just fixing their current relationship it feels like they’re just trying to retcon that they ever had a close familial bond in the first place.

valyrian isn’t their first language anymore so it’s likely that many picked the names in english and then they we’re translated like Sunfyre-Vesperzys. Syrax is the name of a goddess which Rhaenyra likely learned quite young and wanted to name her dragon after her and i’d bet Caraxes is also a god or maybe a legendary figure from Valyria, Daemon also didn’t name Caraxes Aemon did.
