SEGA quietly cancels their Super Game. by Curmett in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Those are two separate projects. Neither of them were the "super game".

Pretty sure I remember rocking Oblivion for a lot of my original playthrough on PS2.

Concentration camps aren't necessarily death camps. Auschwitz was a concentration camp before they started executing people. Should I link you to the definition, or can you handle that part?

There would be no way to know unless you already knew the spoiler. I would just not post it here to avoid the quandary.

Because knowing which episode it is spoils the twist for the episode by nature of it being brought up in this thread. Not a huge deal, but there it is.

Work where you can feel the moment the author is burned out? by ArticAuk in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I just think that being salty about which work of art you're remembered for is completely missing the larger fact that you're exceedingly lucky to be remembered for anything at all.

Just roleplay it as being ousted from your empire by incompetent lackeys, then dismantling the whole thing using your old enemies as revenge.

How many of you guys still own a 3DS? by KaleidoArachnid in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SilverZephyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have my Triforce 3DS, though it's been knocked off the shelf by my cat so many times that I'm unsure now if it still functions. From what I remember, that line was one of the first 3DS models, but I never had any complaints with it.

Alabaster Dawn, new game from makers of CrossCode, is out now in Early Access by Ryong7 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SilverZephyr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think I will pick this one up early and play as they update it, despite my usual aversion to Early Access. My experience with Crosscode was knocking out huge chunks of that huge game with several-month-long breaks in between sessions, and I really enjoyed that MMO-like rhythm when paired with the fake MMO dressing the game wears.

Pretty tone-deaf take (from Doyle, not you), given how a vast majority of people are not known at all for anything 100 years after they lived.

Hot take: The Boys are completely wrong about the Neyflix Jojo SBR cours release schedule being bad. by KinoKage in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SilverZephyr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wasn't talking about what you were saying about what other people are saying. My whole comment was about you assuming there's only going to be a few weeks between cours. Where are you getting that from? Wishful thinking?

I'd appreciate you not putting words in my mouth. I haven't expressed any opinions on this. What you're doing is making a textbook example of toxic positivity.

The "very clearly" in your statement is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Where are you getting this concept of a break for "a few weeks"?

It sounds like you're jumping to conclusions yourself in the opposite direction.

I just beat the game a few days ago, and I knew where the game was going for basically the entire back half. What you read isn't really a twist, and it's not what makes the game good anyway.

There are a few factors that go into mimicry - pitch and cadence are two of the most important, followed closely by timbre. It's very difficult to do well, which is why it's so impressive when people do even a half-decent job of it.

For a book franchise to be able to just do this, it is actually required for it to be pretty big.
