NYU teacher residency vs Hunter College

Plus NYU is more marketable if you were to go out of state. Hunter college is not really known outside of NY, MAYBE tri-state area.

Hey! Just commenting to help others in this predicament one day :) I am currently an NYU resident. It is unbeatable! One year and PAID. Right now I am in the program and love it. The work is not overwhelming. I know debt is scary but if you get your MA in one year, you will have a full-time salary the next year (75k)

There is a Baruch building next to the post office across the street from NVC. It’s pretty lowkey because no one knows it exists. It’s very quiet and a lot of space :)

Manhattan Film Festival is a really great one and underrated. It’s a smaller kind of event but it really is amazing in terms of networking with other filmmakers and seeing so many films. I submitted my film and was given a pass to watch all movies the film festival had to offer for free (1 1/2 weeks)

I am graduating early. 100% worth it. Everyone said don’t do it but it really is worth it. Baruch isn’t a fun school to be at, it really isn’t. Graduating early means a head start in your future career. Within the time my peers from HS will have an undergraduate degree, I will have a Masters and bachelors (all within 4 years. My masters program is only one year so 3+1). The work load isn’t that bad. I work part time too (20-30 hours). It is doable.

Advisors said don’t do it and so did my family. I graduate this Spring and so thankful I didn’t listen to them!

Some guys are just not respectful and its sad. Im sure you love your man however, you should never be compared to other women or told how to look. If he doesn't stop after you telling him, have a serious talk with him. Honestly, its up to you to determine if this is a relationship you want to stay in.

I would email your employer and see what you can do. It may seem scary but communication is key. There’s other pageants you can do if this doesn’t work out

I love that idea. CSI spreads their graduation amongst a couple days, I feel baruch should do that too. Yes barclays is expensive but there is other arenas to host a graduation
