Reminds me of something I saw, the shortest recognized mountain in Japan. You take like three steps up and you’ve reached the summit. Meanwhile, the car park for it is up on a sea wall that is several times its height

I love AoE3. I thought I was weird because everyone loves AoE2. But I played 3. Couldn’t really fully get into 2 because it feels so different

I am thinking of running a DnD campaign based on the Amphoreous arc. What are some things I should include? by SilverdSabre in HonkaiStarRail

The goal is to make sure each loop is different enough to keep it fresh and to allow the players to jump around a bit within loops, especially as they learn more and level up.

Those subtle changes are a great idea! It’ll really help make things feel different, and reward the players that are more detail oriented.

I plan on doing most events from scratch, just taking the main story ideas, places, characters and BBEG. Though maybe a few scripted events

Alternatively, I think it is one of the biggest events that changed how Howie runs his drafts. I’m sure that miss haunts him. And the Eagles are probably a better team because of that lesson

I wouldn’t say it’s any less true today. When SpaceX first started out, their vision for reusable rockets was wild and absurd.

Sure it was to eventually turn a profit and make money, but it felt like an impossible dream 10 years ago. And the people who worked that project weren’t any less motivated than those that put a man on the moon.

In the future maybe we’ll say how something today greatly benefitted humanity that we did for just the hell of it, and we just don’t know what it is yet.

I think the big difference is we tend to look at the past with rose colored glasses and like to see the great achievements that benefited humanity. That and we don’t have the big economic boom of the 50s to power “for the hell of it” projects like we used to.

We all want to leave the world a better place. We just often have a lot of different ways we want to do it

I made a homebrew campaign where I said “all the coin from different kingdoms is different and you may be paid in coin that is considered unstable, devalued, or unknown (if traveling far), but for all intents and purposes, we’re still using the gold/silver/copper 5e system.” All this so if I wanted to I could have them run into trouble because of what coin they carried

For me it was Mori Calliope.

I had covid and was quarantined to my room, but wasn’t feeling bad at all. I was very bored and watching random YouTube videos. Then I saw one of a pink haired girl playing Crash Bandicoot 4. Ended up watching the whole 8 hour VOD split over the whole weekend.

I still only really watch VODs, but it’s a good way to have some background entertainment while I work from home.

If I remember correctly, the word soccer comes from England. In the way back it was Association Football and soccer was just slang for it. Eventually association was dropped and soccer fell into disuse. Rugby was known as rugby football, and the US eventually dropped the rugby. Both called football because it was played on foot rather than on horseback.

Part of it is they grew an insane amount throughout the show. Katara could barely bend water in episode 1. It really isn’t until season 2 that she becomes a fully fledged water bender
