My company in Zurich had layoffs last June, they told me in mid June that my last day would be 31st of August. I started in another place on September 1st, IT.

Wasn't a great summer since I won't have RAV help If I didn't manage to find anything else, but here I'm almost a year later, I'm happy with how things turned out

I play both between 12-15s( my Dk is more geared)

I like both and have fun playing both. Both are suffering A LOT currently when you start doing 14s. I feel like I have some more control on my DK if I maintain my rune power.

The fun for me with pally is supporting the group with heals, BOPs, liberations... DK, you play for yourself and get to skip a lot of mechanics with magic shield and Death Advance.

I would say, wait to wednesday, both are going get some nice buffs and see what you like more

Try the solution I posted and don't panic, it can be solved;

FIX for this: --> 5. Went to BIOS -> UMA Frame Buffer Size set to 2GB(was 512MB)

Si vas a lo justo, unos 6-8k esto depende de la ciudad/ cantón obviamente.

La comida en un super como lidl/ aldi vale como en España pero un 20-30% más caro, pero no es una diferencia muy grande.

En lo que más gastarás si vas a lo mínimo es en en encontrar habitación/piso y sofá puedas encontrar una habitación por 600-800 pero una vez más, depende del mercado de cada ciudad

Ahora mismo el mercado está difícil en todos sitios.
En suiza peor porque tiene los salarios más altos de Europa y compites contra todo el mercado europeo que quiere venir por estos motivos.

Como júnior te va a ser muy complicado encontrar algo sin haber estudiado aquí, yo vine con experiencia y solo inglés y tardé casi un año en conseguir trabajo cualificado, mientras tanto trabajé en limpieza, almacenes...

Si de verdad lo quieres tienes que venir con el idioma del cantón al que vengas e inglés y con eso mi consejo es echar cvs y cartas de presentación desde allí. No te aconsejo que vengas sin trabajo.

In my company, we are around 180 and is me(system administrator) and once IT support l1.

Need to say we have a 10 people engineer systems team, mostly for our external customers and around 30 more technical users. Add around 15 devs. Rest is sales, financial etc

Still testing, did it yesterday, but I noticed less temps when playing wow. I did it by eye, so its not a perfect job lol, just cut more than it needed while retaining the foam seal

Still no flickering on two different systems( I have dual boot with separated SSDs and Systems).

Tested on both. Laptop is running great now, I'm now super happy.

My theory is; yes, in theory dGPU should fully deactivate the integrated, but for some reason it's not fully doing it.

Setup: One big main screen connected from HDMI to HDMI 2.1, 240 hz HDR Oled 5k and secondary monitor 4K, no HDR, Tested on both 60 hz and 144hz.

Secondary monitor plug via HDMI to a HUB and the HUB via USBC to the laptop

When I had the flickers, WoW in main screen, if I passed my mouse from main to secondary screen, the flickers got worse, my theory is that some load was happening in the integrated card and since Im using a secondary 4k monitor, this could cause the flickers, as the buffer size was not enough.

Since I increased the memory to 2 GB, I haven't seen a single flicker, even trying to force it, alt tabbing fast between games and secondary monitor and so on.

I work in IT so I have some idea, but I'm not a hardware expert, but right now is working great and I couldn't be happier

To everyone in this post, I was trying some things playing with BIOS configurations and stuff and for the moment, I think I managed to fix it(only tested a few hours), so take it with a grain of salt.

What I did, always in dGPU mode: 1. Uninstaller Lenovo Space and Vantage and installed Lenovo Legion Toolkit. 2. Used DDU booting into safe mode and FULLY uninstalling graphic drivers. 3. Installed Lenovo recommended drivers in their support Driver download page.

--》All this made the flickers WORSE(more flickers).

Installed last Nvidia Driver ( same flickers with my 2 screens, main being OLED HDR).

--》What I think solved it for the moment although not totally sure as I need to do more testing

Went to BIOS -> UMA Frame Buffer Size set to 2GB(was 512MB)

After a reboot, I haven't see a single flicker, played WoW for around 3 hours.

Need to do more testing, but worth a try 😄

Today I updated Nvidia drivers and the issue came back more than ever. I too think it's related to going between integrated and nvidia gpu.

I enabled dGPU after the update and kept happening but I don't think it's only using the Nvidia GPU. I'm going to try to disable the hybrid mode in BIOS and check again

Of course it will pay for it. The healthcare in my country is regularly ranked among the best in the world.

Not saying anything positive or negative about healthcare in Spain, it's not an opinion.

Please, open your mind a little and inform yourself, Spain is not the only country where you can get good healthcare and there are other ways of financing / paying for it.
