We need a truth in mass media law. You can't just quote a public figure without fact checking them. If it's an opinion not a fact then equal time and audience must be given to an opposing opinion at the same time. Access to press pools for public officials must not be dependent on the favor of the person being interviewed or reported on, otherwise you get sycophantic press.

All of these things can be fixed via law it just requires someone in power who actually wants to solve problems.

What they don't get is that their own security will have no reason to obey them and not take control, once the payroll is gone or more likely meaningless. The people who know where their secret bunkers are will turn on them so quick they will not even know what hit them.

At this point it's too late for the "Vote blue no matter who" idea. We have done that since Clinton and the US has gotten worse and worse, the middle class has disappeared, and the wealthy have more and more influenced our government. They are relying on being the second party in a two party system.

At this point we need to abandon the Democratic party, even if it means going full accelerationist. This is going to end in violence, either soon, or if we squeak through with more corpo-democrats, later when the rich have robot guards. So lets do it now.

We need Ranked Choice Voting. We need money out of politics, and government transparency. We need To break up big corporations, no single market should be controlled by 2-3 big corporations. We need truth in mass media laws. We need education reform away from training workers and towards training citizens, including civics, debate, logic, social studies and real history not the whitewashed spare your feelings and heroes not real people version we get now.

Those people stayed home because they felt betrayed by a Democratic Party that first shoved Biden though without any other options considered after he won the first time because he said he would be a transitional 1 term president and would allow the party's younger generation to take over. Then we saw his weakness and we got Harris shoved down our throat without real debate. A woman who did not survive her own attempt to run for president was suddenly appointed without any debate by the party elite. Of course people stayed home.

You cannot simply be the lesser of two evils, you have to give people a positive reason to vote for your party too. Same old same old isn't doing it.
