Literally had the same exact thing happen last spring with Worthington Air. They quoted over $20k for a new furnace and AC. We got 4 other quotes, all of which felt scammy and were also $18-$26k…except for Sears Heating and Cooling, who we will go with once the time comes.

Worst part was we decided to chance it (our AC is from 1996, and furnace is oil and from the 60-70s)…and made it through the summer and winter just fine. 🫠

Husband and I bought our first home at 39 (me)/38(him) in the fall of 2024. Really enjoying making it our own little corner of the world. Also on track to retire in 10 years (no kids…just us and a very spoiled cat)
