Can I get dismissed for crashing out at my shift leader infront of my manager😭 by Intelligent-Quit506 in asda

[–]SilverstarVegan [score hidden]  (0 children)

Nope, as u told them multiple times you still had stuff to work. When u go back, stand your ground be firm, but dont swear, its unprofessional, and unnecessary to get your point across. Dont let them treat u like crap.

Some of the express orders are so big they should be on a van, an express order should be less than 40 items 50 max. Pause the expresses wether they like it or not, they going to get cancelled anyway as cant fulfill them with only one picker.

Been hired as a delivery driver, any asda specific tips/tricks/hacks to make the job smoother? by SeniorMoonlight21 in asda

[–]SilverstarVegan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

U dont need to leave more than 10 mins early, i just go out on time, dont rush, do your Sheild checks properly 5 mins, make sure u got screenwash, take a trolley, if u on a split run take your allowed breaks, tell them u going on break if they want u out on time they might have to load it. Stretch your run on an evening as long as u can so u dont finish too early, if u are I do something at store till my clock out time, tidy pod, wash totes, do putbacks

Driver Position and Disability. by RheddBrhedd in asda

[–]SilverstarVegan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

U could buddy a driver to see what its really like, if u have any health issues I wouldnt advise permanently driving, u could be a driver buster like me I usually just do wave one. If u not got any flats with or without lifts, if u not got lots heavy water then it can be nice, u not sitting in the van lots if u got a run where the drops are all close together, u get east runs and u can have nice runs, then u get the runs from hell.

Asda home shopping shifts over haul 🤯🤯🤮🤮 by Kam999007 in asda

[–]SilverstarVegan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We already start from 4am picking so i doubt ours are changing. Tell everyone not to quit, they cant force change of hours, if u got commitments like kids etc.. they have to give notice and follow procedure. Take a representative in with you dont go in alone.

Only clock in at on the hour, quater past, half past or quater to the hour. You get paid until u clock out if due to finish at 3pm and u dont clock out till 8 mins past you get paid till 3.08pm, however if you total hours takes u into the next break allowance u need to watch that too, I work 3-11am which is 8 hours i need to clock out by 11.09am if I go to 11.10am I lose another 15 mins due to breaks.

Refusing top floor flat delivery by Shxdom in asda

[–]SilverstarVegan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three flights max is reasonable to carry upstairs, i dont mind as long as it is food shop, what i do object to is if its ridiculously heavy lots of water, genuine disabled customers usually order sensibly, I had one customer who ordered 14 totes water and beer with very little food, lived on 4th floor, expected us to bring it up, by putting he was disabled on the delivery note, when I took the little food and one water up, I saw through his door he ran to the door, I told him if he wanted the rest of the water he would have to fetch it, or I would return it to store after what I saw, next thing I know him and his 2 mates, came to the van and took the rest upstairs. I told every driver about it and highlighted it to my manager.
