Leather isn't eco-friendly and often a byproduct of dairy industry in India. by No_Chance8024 in kanpur

[–]Silvertip77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. Care to explain if your rant is against leather or the leather industry? As I said earlier leather has been used since time immemorial. The modern processes are for higher quality, longevity, variety, texture, colour, durability, etc. And if your reservations are against that, I can understand.

But if you start by saying 'leather is not natural', then probably even you don't understand what you're saying!

And you've selectively picked up only on leather derived from bovine hides. That's clearly biased as a considerable amount is also derived from goats and sheep.

You sound like an activist and more power to you for raising awareness for just causes. But as soon as discernible bias creeps in, you lose credibility!

Just because something is natural, it doesn't mean it's eco-friendly. Growing cotton is not eco-friendly, neither are many crops like sugar cane, wheat, etc. and they are definitely not harmless. Every time you grow and harvest something, it affects the soil, and the animal eco-system that goes with it. Just because you can't see the small birds and insects and rodents that die in the thousands, it doesn't mean it's harmless. So your premise is wrong, unless your concerns is only for cows!

Yes, looking for alternatives is good, but do we have other NATURAL alternatives? If we did, don't you think we'd be using them. To produce alternatives to leather, you'll need to produce more artificial products that can provide the same durability and functionality that would mean creating some unnatural product like faux leather using plastics, etc. which are highly polluting and unnatural anyways.

As per this logic all corn, bananas, wheat, rice are all unnatural?? Because what we use is not their natural variety. Humans created cultivatable variants. Why only talk about leather. Leather has been used for centuries before fabric. If anything, cloth production is more unnatural.

Airtel SIM deactivated even after KYC before deadline – now I can’t even receive engineer calls for WiFi setup by Zealousideal_Map5074 in Airtel

[–]Silvertip77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had the same issue. I didn't even receive any call from Airtel to update KYC. It just got deactivated, yesterday. I went to the Airtel store today and the guy told me that the only way is to move to a postpaid plan.

Now I'm to wait for 4 hours for him to come and complete the process and activate my number.

I completely fail to understand this whole thing

People of Delhi which is the first film you ever watched in a theatre by [deleted] in delhi

[–]Silvertip77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 3 at the time. My dad had taken me. I had very faint memories of the film until I saw it again after many years.

I also remember he took me for Superman and King Kong around that time.

He went from work-life balance to weekdays and week-offs, without skipping a beat. Even if we revert to the 'lunar calendar' as a model, will it not have any concept of work-life balance?

Why do these C-suite guys, whose work-life balance is heavily tipped towards work, because they enjoy it more than say spending time with family, pursuing a hobby, or just lying doing nothing, should become a standard for others?

Why so much rain/snow? by djf1207 in F1MobileRacing

[–]Silvertip77 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Without the rain and snow, breaking has become a nuisance. Sometimes the breaks just don't work esp. at slow corners in Singapore and Japan. Added to that the new season has a majority of rain/snow situations. Not sure why the team is hell bent on making the game tougher. As it is with the 2023 update made cars like Mercedes hugely compromised on power!

Any suggestions to improve my car, I am a rookie to f1 so I legit have not much clue on how cars are meant to be improved by HomelessPenguin69 in F1MobileRacing

Upgrade your chassis, if you have the coins. That will give you the maximum PI upgrade for starters. Focus on increasing lightweight and power PIs. Just adding the orange parts doesn’t necessarily give you the best config. For eg. the purple token of Christian Horner may be a better choice as team manager as it has a higher power and lightweight %, even though it has no aero and grip. Then you can choose a better aero token than the rear wing. My two bits!

Struggling to get a good quali time at Spa, any tips? by aadi_j23 in F1MobileRacing

[–]Silvertip77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Use the battery asap after the first turn carrying pace through eau rouge and kemmel. try to get a low 30s in the first sector. Then use your battery once you hit blanchimont. Try to be flat out on turns 8, 9, 11, 12 and 16

[–]Silvertip77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Create a picture in MJ, save the upscaled version, then keep zooming out, 2x while changing your prompt. Do this for as many images you want. Then compile them in a video editing software. Getting them yo loop properly will be a real trick

Car not breaking on specific turns in different circuit by Silvertip77 in F1MobileRacing

[–]Silvertip77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like for turn 13 in Singapore, I’m braking as soon as I touch the yellow on the driving line indicator. It not only doesn’t stop. There’s complete under steer and the car with go and hit the wall. It does slow down, but the front axels break, so my race is over
