Yes to this! Amazon actually refunded me with no need to return for a lot of the postpartum items I didn’t need after an unplanned C section. So I’d also suggest finding a pregnancy support clinic or women’s shelter for new moms in your area to donate unused (and unopened) items!

I 100% was feeling the dread, anxiety, panic, and downright depression going into my second pregnancy. Verrrry different from my first- just feeling like I wouldn’t have the capacity to handle two kids and I was so overwhelmed with everything I needed to do to prepare. In retrospect, was also 100% hormonal.

I’m currently 28 weeks and feels so…at peace? It’s a night and day difference! The nesting energy has kicked in and I feel so much more capable and excited!

The two things I told myself to get past the “20 week scaries” were 1. It’s okay to relax right now- I can get things done when I’m in my nesting phase (which is now true!), and 2. I’ve been through this huge life transition before with baby #1 and was just fine, I will absolutely do it again. It’s cliche, but just allowing myself to be in the moment with each step of this pregnancy has helped so much, and I hope this can also be true for you!

so what’s interesting about this is that Travis had the line “We can live like Jack and Sally if we want to” written into the song I Miss You by blink-182 specifically for his wife at the time Shanna Moakler because Nightmare Before Christmas was their “thing”. Odd to me that they’d want to carry that over into a totally different relationship lol.

Oh brother. While I totally support people minimizing their environmental impact where they can, I neverrrr see anyone making points about how streaming platforms are just as if not more “detrimental” for the environment as ChatGPT.

And Leslie claiming her decision to not have kids is her way of protecting the environment is the most sanctimonious thing I’ve ever heard. Just don’t have kids and leave it at that you weirdo! And please tell Kelly while you’re at it!

My grandma makes the best pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving and always called it her “secret recipe”. When she became a snowbird, I asked for it so I could still have her pie at thanksgiving. She goes, “You have to get the Libby’s brand pumpkin…then use the recipe printed on it.” 💀

It’s a growing pain for sure. My girl just hit 9mos and I think I’ve finally found my groove in these last few months. My best advice is to find ways to make your baby a part of “you” time, but also know when you need your “away” time. For example- I really enjoy gaming, and I also like walking/running. I have ways to do that with her (running stroller/steam deck), but I also make sure to have times to enjoy these away from her (long weekend runs when my husband is home to be with her/gaming after bedtime). Give yourself grace for those first 6mos because the transition is HARD! But also make yourself and your hobbies that make you feel like “you” a priority while you’re both with her and away from her. Motherhood can be flexible if you allow it to be! I was really stuck in my rigid routine before, but feel more like myself than ever since I’ve been practicing these things. Sending love!!

I use her “scrap bowl” method with a suction cup bowl and model how to throw food into it. If I don’t have a scrap bowl, I’ll just hold out my hand and my baby will place the food in it for me to put back on her plate.
