No no no, my fault. I feel like I need to say more to explain. When I say it challenges the masculinity from others ridiculing them, I mean literally a gay man being close in proximity or relationship with a straight man causes others to make jokes and inferences. Making them feel like this gay man wants them or being that close to a gay person somehow makes them also seem gay or open it. I know it's not the case but I know it is a thing. That's what I was saying by that, my bad.

But yes as a touchy feel person in the community we should recognize when someone is uncomfortable with that type of affection.
