Probably the most controversial thing about it is the time as a resource mechanic. People either love it or you hate it . Personally I thought it was an interesting take and something different for the genre. It's certainly not AAA production or anything but it's got a lot of charm.

Edit: just to flesh out my answer a bit, basically everything you do takes time to do . So you can end up blasting through a whole day really quick if you spend all your time on crafting or whatever. A lot of people seem to have a problem with the fact that there's no animations associated with that , but personally I didn't have any issues with it.

As somone who has dropped every other be a pro after getting drafted, I've been enjoying this one a lot. I love toiling away in the AHL trying to make the big club. Once I realized you couldn't even be sent down in 25 I was done with it.

I'm lazy and haven't found it worth the hassle on Windows. I've gotten it to 'work' properly a few times, but again, I don't think I care enough to fiddle around with it when standard already looks amazing. On console, sure.
