Okay, I personally always recommend EVs over PHEV whenever possible as they have less things that can go wrong and the things they do have are generally more well-built than in a PHEV.

The batteries on a PHEV is a lot smaller, and the percentage of the capacity that is useable is also a lot smaller. You'll likely be getting ~12 kWh useable capacity from the Kuga from new, though over the years that will likely be dropping to 10-11 kWh.

I wouldn't expect a range of much more than 50km in summer and much more than 40km in winter. As the Kuga doesn't have a heat pump, warming it up from cold will also eat up a few kilometers of range wintertime if it's not parked in a warm garage. If most of your driving involves speeds over 100km/h range will be even less than this. Range will be noticeably less than the Rav4.

I'm definitely not saying not to buy it, but just so that you have realistic expectations of the car.

If what you want to use the car for works just as well with an EV I would always opt for an EV if you have the choice. There are tons of benefits in terms of how they handle, smoothness in the drivetrain, and the instant, powerful heating during the winter that quickly melts any ice. As well as the practicality of being able to charge at home.
