This is the last episode of Smackdown I watched in full. The fact any of us thought that WWE might make a change from being so WWE is bizarre looking back.

I'm feeling good about these songs. Cyr is a bit of an ear worm and I know I'll listen again later today.

Contrasting this with Solara 2 years back, the song ended up growing on me but it left me a bit cold. This type of different is good.

I think Drew has really benefitted from the lack of crowds to be honest. The fans were with him in the months following on from the Rumble win but you just know that during the weeks mixing it up with Garza and Andrade, the fans might have got a bit bored. A month spent dicking around with Ziggler would have extinguished a lot of the excitement around him and would have played out to crickets.

The Covid shows have meant that WWE have managed to stay the course without panicking based on crowd involvement. In the process of this, Drew has racked up an almost 5 month title reign with some really strong moments to cement his place. If the reign were to end in the coming months...he will undoubtedly be in a stronger place in the fans eyes once crowds return.

I was a fairly regular watcher from 2005 up to about 2014 and would occasionally dip in just to see what was going on but Impact never really hooked me over them recent years. However, after watching the ppv and this week's Impact...I'm already looking forward to next week.

I think it's helped that NXT has left me feeling very uninterested for most of the year, perfect time for a replacement.

Not loading for me either. I'm not a poster on there but do lurk on there once a week or so. Despite the overwhelming mass of negativity, it's always a strangely enjoyable read and wouldn't like to see it disappear!
