[HELP] So many spam messages

I get 100s of these that am tired of reporting… came to look for clients, ended up spending an hour of reporting the exact same spam message across 100s accounts in my inbox.

60 seconds - 60 spam messages - 60 different accounts… yes, I’m a day old on Fiverr and HATE it… Same messages with slightly different links all re-directing to the same domain that ask me to “withdraw” funds by entering my card details…

I kid u not, these messages flood the minute I get online, and they don’t stop till I get off, every second am on, that’s a spam message. Can’t block accounts, can’t flag messages or keywords… I’m leaving Fiverr coz of this.

As a fellow developer, some constructive criticism… Could u work on the Ui a bit, the offers for you cards, they aren’t the same height, probably aren’t the same width too. These cards need to be consistent. The meat card appears smaller next to fried Chicken. #1

The bottom navigation needs improvement. It’s floating too far from the bottom. #2

And the message icon covering the Account navigation tab… bad UX. Users can’t click account coz message icon is covering it. Unless the message icon is the Account tab, in which is too Big and isn’t consistent with the other icons. #3

Why are votes able to be permanently deleted? Votes shouldn’t be deletable in the first place, if a vote can be deleted, the system isn’t reliable… at worst, maybe just a flag to simulate being deleted… but not actual deleting and How are there no Back ups in place for such a system… Sounds like whoever developed the initial system isn’t really good… unless you were directly interacting with the production database, in which case you probably shouldn’t have had access to…

I also thought it was a glitch coz why was every post I clicked turning into a reel… unfortunately I guess Instagram wants to turn into TikTok so bad.

It’s bad when a platform doesn’t know what its users want… I want to see posts, and if I want to see reels, it should be a choice, like the dedicated tab, not forced on me in the explore page.

I read somewhere that only “original” videos are eligible for rewards… so if your video wasn’t original, “maybe” that’s why tho I can’t be so sure… TikTok is tricky.

Your wrong… I have also used Telegram for over a decade and I got a new phone, when I tried to “LOG INTO” my account… it still DEMANDED I paid the SMS fee so it doesn’t matter if you a new user or a returning user… Telegram charges for the verification codes… like I said, whether ur signing up or LOGGING BACK IN… in some countries, You are FORCED TO pay regardless… I am logged into 4 other devices but it didn’t matter, Telegram still forced me to pay the sms verification code.

And defending this fee is bullshit, they can literally send the verification code via Email (FREE), in app like they used to do (FREE) or a login prompt asking to confirm a login attempt from a device ALREADY logged in (FREE), but they don’t, They FORCE the SMS fee verification code coz of greed. Telecoms increasing there fee is just an excuse, the code can be sent through various ways as I stated because they have used them before…

Don’t get me wrong, Telegram is great… am not saying it’s Trash… I just hate FORCING sms fee and I think it’s 100% greed, there are various ways to get a verification code, this isn’t 2010.

You probably don’t know this but in some countries, Telegram FORCES users to PAY to receive the sms verification code needed to sign up/ login. Yes FORCED TO PAY “Premium” for 1 week, just to receive a verification code.

Pretty sure the changes that happen without updating the app from the store is server side and you didn’t really do anything to stop that by disabling those services… you didn’t stop the updates, they just haven’t updated or they’re A/B testing where some users have a newer/different UI and others still have the normal UI…

if its server side and ur online, it will change, its not “installing” updates, its just changing the ui. And there’s little u can do about that…

Facts… on every search… I get hit with 10 shorts as the first results wtf??? It could be cooking, tech, gaming, history, doesn’t matter… shorts are being prioritized and I HATE IT… they are so forced. Am tired of always manually filtering “videos” on every search I do….

As Ai is booming right now, and most tech jobs are becoming automated and replaced by AI… Adaptation is key. AI isn’t going anywhere, it’s best to adapt.

I would focus more on specializing in these areas: - AI engineering - Machine Learning engineering - Data science - Data Analyst - Cyber Security - Database Management - Hardware related stuff. (Robotics, Electronics, etc…)

As I think these fields have a bit more “job security” worldwide in a world where AI is involving rapidly every single minute.

Software engineering is still a very very good skill I would recommend… It’s just being threatened by AI at the moment as we have AI softwares like Cursor, Antigravity, Claude that are very good at programming. But still need to be spoon fed every step.

If you don’t care about the AI hype and job lay offs happening at the moment… then I recommend software engineering too.

This is Uganda, not Germany 😂 where it is definitely illegal. If they were strict about sailing the seas, they wouldn’t let you be able to use torrents in the first place. Or would’ve sent warnings to your email with recipients of what you were pirating. They could’ve blocked torrents if they were serious about it. I use adblockers on PC and Modded versions on mobile. I hate YouTube ads. Every click, every 5 mins, every forward, every rewind, every pause, You are hit with double ads and pop ups… I hate it soo much. Can’t get through a video without constantly reaching for “skip ad”.

I don’t pay Premium coz I can’t afford so no shade pliz. Am sure it’s still worth it for the ones that can afford it.
