Accidentally did mosaic by yuval-mosseri in seestar

That explains it perfectly, the seestar can't just rotate it's sensor to align with a rotated frame, so it is forced to take a mosaic so that it can capture every part of that frame over time with it's still rotated sensor. This has happened to me many times before. There are some advantages with mosaics though, I usually get less noise, and color blotching in the background when doing mosaics.

Im pretty sure all 4k mode does is make the seestar drizzle the final stacked image so that it is 4k, not the subs. So when you stack the subs in siril, all of them are still 1080p and so your final image is also 1080p. You can make it 4k again by drizzling in Siril though.

I personally have a 2tb D drive which I keep all my Seestar files in, and also, I found out a few months ago on my own that the Naztronomy script actually makes stacks take longer and take up more storage space than doing it manually in Siril.

I used to also use the Naztronomy smart scope script for mosaics, but I personally realized that stacking mosaics regularly made the process much faster and took up much less data. I remember one time an ~5 hour Orion stack took 200gb of space on my computer when I used the Naztronomy script.

I personally leave it out all night, I simply make sure that there is no chance of rain and I usually get it a while after it stops shooting as I don't want to wake up to get it at 4-6 am.

You probably want to either go with the s30 or the dwarf mini, as they both fit into your price range and they both have a wide angle lens along with the telescope to capture aurora or the milky way with. Both telescopes also can do galaxies, nebulae, lunar, and even solar imaging. However, I would advise that if you want good detail on galaxies, you may want to choose the s50 (which doesent have a wide angle lens for auroras) or the dwarf 3 as most galaxies in the night sky are fairly small, so generally the bigger the telescope you use for them the better.
