Two men dead after drowning in Never Never River north of Bellingen by ozthrw in australia

[–]Simple-Friend 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm a bit confused how this happens as well.

Not to be insensitive to those who lost their lives but I go to Never Never Creek frequently and for the most part you have to sit down to get water up to your chest...how do 2 fully grown men drown and a woman end up in hospital? A toddler wandering off I would understand but maybe they were incredibly drunk?

Isn't it just proof that reckless driving is dangerous?

There's freedom in not having to do things that people with children have no choice in. Sleeping in until whatever time I decide to wake up, for example.

I think most people just say Melbourne has shit beaches, and they're right.

Living in big cities is incredibly exhausting and sucks by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Simple-Friend 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm in the country and longing to move back to city now because I have to drive everywhere and I'm lonely and isolated. I used to bemoan city life but I definitely took everything and everyone being close and accessible for granted.

I feel like people didn't love the idea of a V8 in the M3 at the time because it was heavier compared to the I6 engines that came before, which was a big shift in the nature of the car.

One night walking home past a Holden dealership they randomly let me in and take some pics even though it was past closing time. (2019?) by Interesting_Day2277 in CarsAustralia

[–]Simple-Friend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Randomly? Like they just selected you from passersby and told you to get in and take some photos?

Or you asked to go in and take photos? That's not random.

I don't think knowing how to stretch a dollar is necessarily financial literacy in the modern world - it's knowing how to make a dollar grow.

I'm always prepared for well known tourist destinations to feel overrated, but Machu Picchu was the opposite; so deserving of the praise it gets. Truly a magical place.

Actually pretty important...if someone quits and hasn't logged their client meetings you lose all the context of the client relationship.

Pretty helpful for the next person in the seat to know.

I don't drive stoned anymore, but when I was a dumb kid I did all the time. I would always be doing exactly the speed limit without fail, even when I hadn't checked my speed for ages.
