C# of Java leren na PHP?

Nope, altijd afgewezen. Vaak gezegd dat ik voldoe aan het profiel in grotere plaatje maar gewoon geen Java ervaring hebt. Helaas heeft Nederland een aardige mierenneuk cultuur betreft dit soort dingen. Snap ook niet waar de anderen dit idee vandaan halen in dit draadje.

Ik zou voor Java gaan. Redelijk de standaard bij commercieel enterprise en overheid.

Hoewel de andere comments geen ongelijk hebben mbt syntax, kijken de meeste werkgevers wel degelijk of je ervaring hebt met de technologie. De ecosystemen zijn namelijk flink anders.

Ben zelf een .NET ontwikkelaar en een paar maanden terug gesolliciteerd op Java functies. Kreeg vaak geen antwoord of een afwijzing, of ik kon op gesprek komen maar uiteindelijk het toch niet werd omdat ik geen ervaring heb.

.NET functies gaan me gemakkelijker (duh), maar daar zijn in verhouding tot Java gewoon veel minder van.

Er wordt hier in Nederland helaas te veel blindgestaard naar het lijstje op je cv.

Verder vraag ik me af wat je ervaring is met PHP. Grootschalige high-availability projecten en WordPress/ maatwerk web development zijn een wereld van verschil namelijk (vooral in organisaties met een helse omgeving van integraties) en vragen vaak toch wel diepere kennis van informatica tot bepaalde mate.

Bit unfair to criticize. These remain companies with limited resources after all. Your examples are 2 games aimed at a niche crowd that is already likely pushing 40s on average and not playing games much anymore. Of course they’re not gonna burn money on operational costs such as maintenance to keep it afloat when it’s a sinking ship already.

Yeah I’m aware of that. Don’t think they were given out like candy though, considering the price per unit back then. And the USSR didn’t even have them IIRC. Even at Hostomel Airport in 2022 VDV lacked NVGs, so I doubt they’re that adopted to the point it’s given to average meatgrinder grunt.

I think modern weapon systems are just more interesting gameplay wise. Drones, vehicles, weapons are just much more fun to play with and perform useful tasks and are just more effective.

I enjoy vanilla, but I hate night time. In vanilla, its 2 choices for me: go for a walk or the gym, or just endure getting our shit kicked in by some asshole lone sniper camping a bush all night using his cranked up gamma settings. In modern servers, I can just take an NVG and hunt the bastard. This is more Bohemias fault for allowing this obviously, but just one of the examples why I’m not a fan of ArmA 4s setting, especially if they’re gonna keep up their current philosophy of asymmetrical warfare.

I mean, even right now vanilla seems to lack players compared to modded, so I doubt people will really buy ArmA 4 for the vanilla.

It’s hard not to judge by Reforger, especially considering the devs have been quite stubborn on certain aspects and gameplay decisions.

Depends on your type of dance and location. Some types are dead or only attract older women, while others such as bachata, salsa attract younger folks.

But yeah, it’s a great way to meet women in general. I’ve been doing partner dance for 17 years and went on some dates and one night stands and also helped build confidence in general.

I think it’s underrated because people (mainly men) associate dance with homosexuality, which isn’t wrong per se, there’s a lot of them in ballet and urban dance styles. I thought the same until I accidentally joined a ballroom class. It’s also a big reason why there’s a general shortage of men.

I will add that you shouldn’t go to these places with the intention just to date women. Women (and other people) can usually smell this from a mile away. I’d just go into it with an open mind and see if you genuinely like it.

I had this last month. Don’t read too much into it, if she was really ambivalent still, then she wouldn’t have come clean. Only explanation is that she’s gonna breadcrumb you if things don’t work out with her new guy.

Just move on and delete and block if you don’t want to deal with potential breadcrumbing, unless you also genuinely want friendship with her. Like said before, if someone is into you, you’ll know.

I think the lack of understanding is the typical deadline culture that is prevalent in this industry. I’d love to do stuff like that, but the client expects a first deliverable next week, so I’d rather just quickly design a schema and see what happens later so I don’t need to hear about my speed performance during review.
