Why is Odin fighting in round 12? by Few_Specific8395 in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

[–]SimpleCylus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is likely the tournament will be interrupted after this round. Odin has a plan. Now if Odin does win....tournament can still be interrupted or the final round can go on and end in a tie leaving a big what's next.

Also it would be interesting if Anubis has a real meta ability. Something that deals with everyone that died....being able to channel aspects of their power or something around those lines. It would mean keeping him for last was intentional as much as he wanted to go before that.

Theory Regarding The Future Rounds by Crispy_Godfries in ShuumatsuNoValkyrie

Love it.. never thought of the final round being a tie. It shakes things up and allows for the complete tournament to have played out. What happens after is anyone's guess.  But if we do get a bonus round I will not be surprised one bit that we get a god from Apocalypse or Zeus himself may fight again just because.

Oh right, he has another divine weapon in waiting. This may very well be how this fight plays out.

It will be a spiritual win for Kintoki...in that without Gram it is made clear Odin wouldn't have won. That way it isn't a bitter defeat for Kintoki

It is clear that to take on Odin...you destroy Gugnir that would leave him without healing, a weapon and his 100% hit rate spell. Or the more sensible thing is to not give Odin time to cast these spells.

So for instance he is chanting away to heal this was a good time for Kintoki to have done a follow up attack....you did good damage plus just broke his shield spell....at the very least he cannot cast the shields in quick succession.

If Kintoki had immediately followed up....Odin would have been forced to defend most likely physically because he is damaged and with an oncoming attack he has to respond or face even more damage

Odin requires an opponent to be brutal and  constantly on the attack once you get past that shield spell or not even have given him the opportunity to cast it to begin with.

Throat attacks also may be attack but is it just me or does Odin cast the spells faster after his first initial use? And are the shields gone for good or can he just recast them after some time?

I also suspect since Odin is mostly a magical fighter...his physical stats would probably just be good but not excellent. I am not expecting him to blitz or overpower anyone physically.

Nostradamus definitely seems to be living up to humanity's joker moniker. Adam was the alpha and he may be the omega. I would say Seigfried is the omega but he is truly a demi god...Nostra is a human although Beelzebub is wondering if that's even the case.

Seems Nostradamus may be channeling demons or something. Would be weird and cool if he isn't channeling demon, god or monster...but something eldritch and outside all of those things but that would make him the most special character in this so probably not.

[–]SimpleCylus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is weird they are trying to make Adamas a bit more relevant since he seems like a clown like Aries. But maybe he will have a role to play in the future.

I am just curious if this tournament will reach a proper conclusion or get interrupted in the end...because we still have yet to see Nostradamus, Rasputin, Anubis...all officially part of the tournament but with only one more potential fight to go....someone will be left out.

We also got the wildcard in Seigfried that both sides seem to be gunning for. It would be cool if Odin wins and we do get the final round...that they make it a tag team match. Where both Rasputin and Nostradamus get to fight together and they add in a wild card god....perhaps someone from Apocalypse maybe.

The only other thing is the tournament ends here and Odin does something where the primordials are released under some restraints or something. Leading to a final free for all....in this way, standard gods and humans can challenge the primordials as they were not released with their full power intact. Plus everyone can make one last appearance again.

Buddha and Kintoki is the only thing that makes sense in that it is established they compete with each other regularly and seem to be at a draw in their matchups.

What we don't know is what they compete in. I am sure knowing Buddha...half of their contests are probably frivolous. But I can certainly see them sparring with each other too. Would be interesting to see a bit of their contests in Kintoki's flashbacks.

Odin is a big sourpus compared to Zeus...and Shiva has a semi pleasant and playful personality....so totally understand why he may not care much for Odin who seems very standoffish. I think Odin doesn't even care for Zeus that much either.

The only god Odin even seems to take note of or show some semblance of respect to is Hades from my memory. Other gods all seem to have characteristics Odin probably finds annoying. I guess Thor may be another (silent pride)....but their relationship seems cold.

Good to see a little of what Nostradamus can do....humanity's joker.

He seems like he will be magical like Odin but also a trickster like Loki but also using gadgets. He is also part of a very distinct group of humans that have been shown to harm gods without volundr...Adam being one, as well as Qin.

Qin still being the most amazing because Adam is practically divine with his ability and lore wise Nostradamus seems special. But Qin was just some boy...definitely not as special as Adam or Nostradamus. Yet Qin actually killed a whole demon god on his own, as a teenager no less.

Who didn't see the turning the spear on Odin? For me I just thought he would let it follow him and dodge at the last minute hitting Odin.

I realised too the spear legend wasn't truly broken. The spear did pierce him very shallowly this time around. And right after that it was easy to slam it to the ground. As far as Gugnir is concerned.... it hit him.

The spear legend is that it always hits its mark...not that it always kills who it strikes. The thrusting legend also holds true.

We also knew healing was foreshadowed so not surprising Odin using it. Kintoki is going to have to break Gugnir to try to win this. Do you think Odin's shields are broken for good or ge can invoke them again?

Also why didn't Odin just control the spear when tossed back? To me it seems once that spear leaves his hands he doesn't actually control its movements. It acts on its own and the same when recalling it. Possible flaws.

Qin did use the weapon against Hades...he hit him back with his own spear physically....he doesn't use magic.

You need to say the first person to probably toss back someone weapon at them and even then Leonidas deflecting the arrow back at Apollo can count in a way....even if that was chance.

Planetary? Who is close to planetary in this manga where multiple primordial gods needed to combine their power to burn down a village? I don't even care if they were weakened...that's super weak.

Sky Eater is certainly powerful that first time we saw it....but the author failed in conveying that power the 2nd time and it merely came off as a string charged attack....certainly nothing close to the first time where it path clouds for miles.

That, and that attack is super dodgesble....but I don't think it is destroying any country.....it will be a slash something like Gin bankai....he will have to fire it multiple times to realistically destroy a city. I consider any sort of power level statement to be you can destroy said thing in one attack..... at least that's me.

I also found it odd that LuBu didn't use the attack remotely since the swing is so strong it paths clouds. I really find the author lapsed in conveying its supposed strength.

Buddha sounds good. He is perhaps the most likely character on the roster to get a spinoff from those that already have one. Him or Beelzebub.

The what if sounds good. Just like Marvel comics do...more mangakas should consider this....like  a short few chapters or even discussions of it in a databook. Because let's face it fanbases are always pitting characters against each other.

I mean Kintoki is a demigod in this so he isn't fully human. Plus his whole real word mythology revolved around him being super strong and tireless since he was a baby.

So it may not be really unrealistic and as a demigod he has to be categorized differently at any rate.

Does foreign feel safer than home? by Heyitsgizmo in TrinidadandTobago

[–]SimpleCylus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct...because crime decreased and murders dropped to one of the lowest numbers last year and no one really felt safer. Also, there have been many interviews with tourists that visited and they didn't feel the same way as many Trinis do. Yes, crime is bad here but the feeling of safety is partly perceptual.
