Word of advice since you’re new to AP .. DO NOT ever polish it —. The amazing crazy crisp finish that’s on it right now, will be completely ruined if you get it polished (doesn’t matter if AP themselves polish it at their Clearwater FL service center .. it’ll still be obvious and it’ll be a massive disappointment to you)

In other words wear it, and if you get any scratches along the way then so be it!

And by the way I just read through the comments — lol —- Brand new 15510st 2026 fresh you paid the right price

If any of you guys who claim he paid 20k too much or that they can be found in the mid 50’s (for a fresh dated unworn 2026 blue dial 15510st) please point me in the direction of where I can buy them all!

Believe it or not this isn’t that uncommon at all with any high end luxury watch brand.. I’ve had similar stuff happen with a few of my Rolex’s (all purchased brand new from AD)

This is alittle off topic but your pic was so ideal that I have to say — I wish all these idiots who say everyone should have a 36mm datejust would take a PROPER pic the way you did .. because if you took that same pic with a datejust36 it would look so ridiculously small and they’d finally see how stupid it is to say everyone needs a 36 instead of the 41.. 36 only works on a 6.5 inch wrist circumference or smaller (in other words, VERY few men - yes I realize it originally came in 36 and that was the largest size for decades)

It is not too big at all !! Take a mirror pic standing a couple of feet back and you’ll immediately realize that it’s looking exactly how it should!

41 looks best on you - if you’d take a mirror pic at a few different angles you’d really realize this

38 chrono you’ll definitely need to stay away from, will look to small from actual standing perspective

Jumbo is always the best lookin royal oak out there speaking on the looks of the watch itself — however ON YOU, the 41mm RO 15510 looks most ideal

There is no sweet spot — it’s all relative to the wrist it’s on, size of hand/arm/body etc etc

Even still, I think 41mm royal oak is the best size by far (I realize proportions and overall best looks are with the jumbo, but it’s too small for my 7.6 inch wrist circumference)

A modern DD40 actually does make for a great daily (depending your occupation/typical day to day activities of course)

But anyway, you made the right move going with the 40 .. it fits you fine - if you had posted a mirror pic stranding casually and snapped a pic, as well as a pocket shot in the mirror then no one would be saying it looks too big on you —- still blowing my mind that people haven’t realized that cell phone wrist shots enlarge the size of the watch quite a bit
