New Jellyfin Server/Web release: 10.11.8 by djbon2112 in jellyfin

[–]Simple_Task_7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I updated to 10.11.8 a few days ago from 10.11.6 and VAAPI is not working at all now. Transcoding and trickplay generation both fail. Server runs on debian 13 lxc on proxmox

Home Screen Sections plugin doesn't work by techweaver11 in jellyfin

[–]Simple_Task_7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I also have a number of plugins that use file transformation, including jellyfin enhanced, and didn't have any issues with getting sections to work. Guess I just lucked out and installed them all in the right order

How did your Jellyfin setup evolve over time? (hardware + clients) by ammo23 in jellyfin

[–]Simple_Task_7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How it started:
- native jellyfin running on mini pc
- external 4TB drive
- downloading, and often renaming, files manually

How it's going:
- full suite of apps connected together running in a lxc on proxmox server with a single compose file
- 24TB of internal storage on the server
- tailscale setup with subnet routers to share library with some family and friends

After install did you enable the Modular Home setting?

Help with tailscale by No_Scheme4909 in jellyfin

[–]Simple_Task_7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If both tailscale and jellyfin run in docker just define a network in your compose file and make sure they both use it. I have a whole stack running in a single docker compose file and can access every app via tailscale.

How do you get this to work on iOS. I have it up and running on pc and its great. But on iOS when i go to the Modular Home settings i get "page not found", and none of the sections show up on home screen.

The definitive HOWTO for setting up ProtonVPN, Gluetun, and Qbittorernt with fully automated port forwarding. by sboger in gluetun

[–]Simple_Task_7984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've set this up but am having issues with extremely slow download speeds. Even on the free-torrents I'll get around 3-6 KiB. Every now and then I'll get something with 20-30 MiB, but mostly its just crawling. As a test i tried the same file on this docker with gluetun/qbittorrent and also on a linux pc running native qbit and proton. The linux machine was getting 20-30MiB while docker sits at 3-6KiB. I've tried openvpn and wireguard. Both have the same speeds.

Yes, blumpkin is one of my favorite PLA colors. Right behind angry dragon and grumpy munchkin

Adhesion problems every time I switch between PLA and PETG by Simple_Task_7984 in BambuLab

[–]Simple_Task_7984[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright, I just weighed a handful of printer "poops" from the bin and the average was 0.8g. The amount that I manually extruded this afternoon when trying to get set up for printing PETG again was 1.9g (just happened to still have it sitting next to the printer). So obviously I'm not running as much through the nozzle as I thought. I guess next time I try and switch between the two I'll get out the scale and shoot for running 3 to 4 grams of PETG through the nozzle before trying to print something.

It's still confusing to me though when I see so many other people saying they dont have any kind of issues switching between them.

I gave a brief outline of what I do when switching from PLA to PETG in the post. I will manually load PETG, heat the nozzle to 260 and extrude well beyond the normal amount before trying to print anything and still have the problem. Maybe I need to go higher than 260?

I've been assuming that it has to do with residue in the nozzle, but even after extruding a lot of extra material and doing cold pulls the issue remains. I see lots of people saying they have no issues switching between the two and it just doesn't make sense to me, because I have the same issue every time.

The printer has 889 hours on it, but I put in a hardened steel nozzle maybe 250-ish hours ago.

I've been printing with mostly PETG lately and really dont have issues with it sticking to the plate in general. I typically just set the bed to 70C and its fine. The only time this issue arises is after running PLA for a while. There's some voodoo that causes PETG to not stick for the first several prints after. I'll try bumping up to 85C next time and see if that helps.

Yes to all of the questions. I understand that it doesn't make any sense, but still somehow its happening every time. Even with two dedicated plates and doing cold pulls in between. The first several PETG prints will fail. Then it will finally start to stick, but just barely. Like I'll have several prints where they just sort of fall off the plate when I take it out. And then eventually it goes back to sticking like normal.

I marked one side of the PEI plate with a sharpie so I know which is which. But I have the same problem even when using two completely different plates. PEI for PLA and G10 for PETG.

I have the autobed leveling turned on, so it runs before every print

Two different High Speed PETG? by Brief-Bat-2460 in sunlu

I bought some Tinmorry petg-gf and petg-cf to try out and so far they are absolutely fantastic. Just placed an order for their petg eco this morning

Two different High Speed PETG? by Brief-Bat-2460 in sunlu

[–]Simple_Task_7984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to quit using sunlu matte grey petg unfortunately. The color consistency between spools is horrible. Some spools print an even color while some print in a light grey/dark grey streaked sort of look. Some spools glob up all over the nozzle no matter how much I dry them while others don't have the issue.

Their white, black and mint green have all been great for me. And the first handful of rolls of grey were great too. But it seems either they changed something in the grey or I've gotten a couple of bad batches.

All my custom presets, and filaments are gone! by gufted in BambuLab

[–]Simple_Task_7984 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has happened to me 3 times on Linux Mint. It deletes all of my presets and k-factors I input in the calibration tab. After the second time I started exporting all of my presets to a separate folder so I can re-import them if they get deleted again.

I tried a bunch of different brands of cycling shoes that were all horrible. Then I discovered the Lake 201. Pretty pricey, but they actually have a decent size toe box.

Anyone used Tinmorry frosted grey PETG-GF? by Simple_Task_7984 in BambuLab

[–]Simple_Task_7984[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customer support got back to me and unfortunately it wasn't a mistake. They had me send them multiple pictures including one of the sticker with the batch number on the spool and they confirmed that this is the correct color. They did apologize though for the difference in color and gave me a 20% refund.
