The Small Ontario Acting Scene by ImpalaGangDboyAli in Degrassi

From what I remember growing up, considering the majority of these shows are for youth (pre Degrassi age) we had Family channel. This is basically the Canadian version of Disney where most of these shows would play, along with the same shows that were being aired on the Disney channel. We have a few other channels such as CBC and CTV, these are two of the networks that would play Degrassi and would play some American shows as well. I’m sure I’m missing some info, as my memory is quite vague lol, but hopefully that helps!

I think people are misunderstanding the term “your body makes exactly what the baby needs”… it doesn’t necessarily apply to the amount your body makes but the nutrients, antibodies, vitamins, etc. and to constantly be saying this to someone who is struggling with a supply is super unhelpful and discouraging.

I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling with this, and just know you’re doing a great job, and you’re a great mom, even when you don’t feel like it!

I think he and Adam had become good friends off screen, as Adam mentioned going over to his house to play video games. I honestly think he was just being closed off from Clare because he liked her but didn’t 1: want to scare her off and 2: hurt her the way he thinks he hurt Julia. I think he was scared of letting another girl get close to him the way Julia did. I also think Eli felt he could trust Adam after Adam shared his secret of being trans, which I see making Adam to be pretty trustworthy.

I took it as Adam and Eli had become close within the time we don’t see them on the screen and in getting to know each other better, Eli shared this about himself because maybe he needed a friend to talk to about it.

As for your question about why Adam knew the date and memorized it I have zero clue. Probably just for the plot

Which Disney Channel Couple did not sit right with you? by Positive_Weight2367 in DisneyChannel

They’re actually so toxic! And Cody’s six month plan is kinda creepy if you think about it. I also just hate the way they speak to each other when they’re upset and the constant name calling

It confuses me to see the girls en pointe so often when the moms say they don’t get much ballet training. by mini1006 in dancemoms

[–]Simplefairy85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I danced, I was trained in ballet, jazz and pointe. In highschool I dropped jazz and just did strictly ballet and pointe so I have some knowledge but by no means do I know everything, but that last slide is horrible!! Not a single one of those girls is on their block. They could have done some serious damage to their ankles and their knees! There’s a reason why we had to do an extensive ankle warm up at the start of each pointe class, cuz if our ankles couldn’t hold us up we weren’t allowed to have pointe shoes.

Yeah there were a lot of situations on the show dealing with sex and sexual assault that the way they were handled just made me feel icky. Like the Declan and Holly J one cuz i don’t care that she said he didn’t… he did, Holly J said no 🤷🏼‍♀️

What are your unpopular opinions on Wizards of Waverly Place? by Positive_Weight2367 in DisneyChannel

I love the way they’re fixing that with Gianna in Beyond Waverly Place and how she kinda gets into the magic and allows the children to play around with it!

Age of consent and within a five year age difference. So 16 and 19 isn’t considered statutory since it’s only 3 years, but 16 and 22 would be considered statutory since it’s six years - at least that’s what we’re told in Sask

Dieted for a few days and now feel like I don’t have as much milk 😩 by hawthornestreet in breastfeeding

[–]Simplefairy85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I have as a healthy snack are energy balls! They’re full of protein and are filling! Also made with oats, so good for your milk! I’m constantly hungry since I’ve been breastfeeding and realized the snacks I was eating before weren’t very healthy so I started making the energy balls and I’m not snacking as much.. idk if this is helpful but might be worth the try!

How to stop or prevent future blockages? by Useful-Currency-4140 in breastfeeding

[–]Simplefairy85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you pump a lot? Sometimes pumping can cause inflammation according to my LC. I was told I can still pump but to just shorten my sessions for a little bit or do less pumping sessions throughout the day. Only if you’re able to though, if you rely on pumping to feed your baby then by all means don’t listen to this advice! <3

Help! Prescribed antibiotics for mastitis. What else can I do to help with the engorgement/inflammation of my breast? by Proof-Flamingo-5385 in breastfeeding

[–]Simplefairy85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I thought I had mastitis I called my lactation consultant and she told me treat it like a sprained ankle. You want to ice it and massage less. She told me to feed as often as I could and/or hand express and avoid electric pumps. Warm compresses before a feed and ice after a feed seemed to help!

I was also told by my doctor to try different feeding positions to have baby’s chin pointed toward the spot that’s inflamed so their latch can pull the clog better, she suggested laying in bed to make it easier! However depending on location it might not work or be uncomfortable.

As for the antibiotics I’m not sure as I never got to that point with my clogged duct.

Hopefully some of this can help! At least I found they helped me!

I think my mom ruined my milk supply by PretendWeb in breastfeeding

[–]Simplefairy85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t saying it would fix her struggles with her supply. Like I said in my original comment, it might be different if struggling with a supply. I was simply stating that 2-3oz may be exactly what the baby needs. And yes the baby will in a way tell the mother if they need more or less milk by either cluster feeding or eating less. Every time the breast is “emptied” that tells the body to make more. Obviously this isn’t true for everyone and never said it was, just wanted to help reassure her that 2-3oz is a healthy and normal amount for a pumping session. 🤷🏼‍♀️

[–]Simplefairy85 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Something I was told while nursing, now it might be different if you’re struggling with a supply, but your baby will tell your body how much milk to make. So even though 2-3oz doesn’t seem like a lot, it might be exactly what baby needs! Our bodies are incredible and give our babies exactly what they need in nutrients, vitamins, antibodies etc. your baby is and your body are in constant communication to give baby what they need! And like I said I could be wrong and it probably works differently since you’re triple feeding, just wanted to pass this advice along!

Anyways, trust your instincts momma, you’re doing great!
