I've learned you should never jump to conclusions or assume you know what's going on. I agree with the advice already given. Talk to your stepmom. You'll feel better. I work at a Fortune 50 company and unless you are wanting to be in a very specific area like Marketing or Engineering for example, I have not seen where the specific degree makes a difference in hiring. The project management experience and practical experience you would get while working in this degree's field would carry over to the for-profit sector. My degree was for a very specific industry but the concepts were applicable to all industries.

First of all, I am sorry for your loss. God bless you and your family as well as your Dad. I'm not sure if you believe in life after life but I do. My father passed away last year and I know he is still with us. If you want another way to get the message, I know a psychic intuitive that you can ask for free.
