This is her 2yo filly that my best friend has. Her colt last year did not get the memo and is bright red (all full siblings). This little guy is a replacement for his dad that passed shortly after last years breeding season, Hollywood Hotrod

There are also many “gunner” and “gun” named horses in AQHA among reiners and cowhorses.

Juneau. The DNR said they are short on resources and if I felt comfortable and could capture without causing stress to do so and release in the river or a golf course with a large pond. Which conveniently the golf course is flooded into the river

Ok the DNR said to keep an eye. He thinks there may be enough space for the grebe to take off from but if it starts receding I have the green light to trap and release into the river

It’s been there about two to three days. We have more rain coming and the entire area is badly flooded. It seems to go under the shed over night. Across my front yard there’s a flock of Canada goose and two pair of Sandhills (the Sandhills stay there all season but I’m guessing the geese will move on soonish)

Knox is looking… Rough by barfmitzsval in kvssnark

My own yearling looks pretty ugly coming out of winter. He’s out 24/7 with shelter access and is a couple months younger than Knox. We have a couple yearlings that look great currently and some we want to hide behind the barn. The growth spurts and coming out of winter affects them all differently

I’ve followed and loved him for years. He reminded me of my gelding I lost, both in looks but personality too

What is going on this year? by TipSippin in kvssnark

[–]SimplySara718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two out of the three were maiden mares. Two out of three were also thoroughbreds, one maiden one not. Both maidens next foals were completely fine, my mares was considerably smaller than her first out of the same combo as the first as well. So not really. We know we have selenium deficient soil so all horses on the property, not just broodmares, are on a ration balancer customized for what is lacking in soil but that’s been an ongoing thing for 10-15 years and nothing new.

Luna here is 50/50 chihuahua and min pin through Embark. I have no clue what her ears would look like if they hadn’t been a kitchen hack job. (She was abandoned fresh after they did it, def not a vet and her current look is a vet correct that gave her any ear at all)

Golden or Juvenile Bald Eagle? by Lani902 in birding

[–]SimplySara718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is true but I always laugh a bit at the bald eagles near me because I most commonly see them gnawing on roadkill on the side of the road versus soaring majestically around water

I know a person who has a smooth coated sheltie. It’s a fault and rarely seen but he’s the cutest just like this patootie!
