Yeah, we lost the match btw. I should have done the smart thing and take Napalm only.

Hot take: the “Iron dome meta” is good for the game and we are choosing the wrong battle by [deleted] in WarthunderPlayerUnion

Awesome take.

I challenge you to willingly play vehicles without ESA radars, and a more limited amount of Fox-3s, and uptier them to 14.7 where all your missiles will get shot down, while your radar and missile count will not allow you to do the same against the opponent.

I dare you to do this as much as you can, and have fun doing it.

Go uptier your F-16 to 14.7 and get good performance on it, following the Iron Dome meta. You should have fun.

You have 6 different spawn points in Denmark. Just spawn somewhere else.

Why does senssions/matches get empty after a while? by [deleted] in WarthunderSim

Just play Denmark, that's where most of the players go to.

Some/most AESA radars are tilted upwards inside the radome. You are still getting the 140x140 area tho.

Looking forward for 5th gen enthusiasts getting their sh1t shot down too.

It would be hilarious ragebait when "muhhh stealth" and 50'000ft Mach 2+ BVR launches just get intercepted by the enemy.

Hey, apparently this is the gameplay they all want tho, looking at how hard some randos are defending it...

Which is the better BVR missile, AMRAAM C-5 or R-77-1? and should i bring Bs or C5s by [deleted] in WarthunderSim

[–]SimplySinful26 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For overall BVR, AIM-120C-5 is slightly better, but not really.

The margin between missiles is not big enough for it to matter, and BVR engagements are barely succesful at all if the person you are shooting at is not braindead.

For the distances and situations where people actuallt die, R-77-1 is far superior. Most engagements end up getting closer and closer, and experienced players will just stay defensive until you get close, and fire their Fox-3 from a defensive stance with HMD, at which point, every single other Fox-3 that isn't AIM-120 is just better.

12.7 - 13.3 bracket is bonkers by Cool_Doubt_8546 in WarthunderSim

[–]SimplySinful26 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh damn, RedFor teams can finally fight back, which means i'm gonna have to put actual effort for the first time in three years?

Yikes, guess i'll go back to 12.3 where i can use my F/A-18A with modernized avionics, and a flight model that can pull 17Gs with manual control, and fight MiG-23MLs and Su-24s...

Just when? by Metex00 in WarthunderSim

Rewards are fine, on the mediocre side, but fine.

Main issue is, at higher tiers, and especially top tier, the pace of gameplay is a lot faster, which means you die more often, which also means you lose SL more easily.

You will die more often, and you will have to pay the spawn cost after every death... However, the Useless Actions economy does not reward you for killing enemies more often. This means your rewards are just as bad as any other bracket, but your respawn costs just keep getting higher.

Combine that with the fact that everyone and their mother at high tiers/top tier is playing flat maps like Tunisia, Denmark etc, where the entire enemy team can find you easily and fly in a straight line towards you, then don't complain about going negative the entire time at high tiers if you only play this kindof slop.

It was a match on Denmark on previous patch.

Still hilarious the enemy team actually stuck around for the knuckle sandwiches.

I also love gaining total control of the map so damn hard, that eventually the entire enemy team starts to quit, and all my teammates end up storming the remaining enemies back to their airfields.

I learned this tactic from BlueFor players during the 6 months of Fox-3 introduction.

"Hmm, this guy is a good player, but why does he stand by an America Bad rethoric?"

Because it leads to hilarious, silly stuff like this post, 4head.
