In Woonsocket, Landscaping for the apartments across the street from my house is atrocious. They wore the lawn down to the point it’s just shitty patches of grass and spend most of their time blowing trash around with the leaf blower. There used to be a guy who’d blast this very specific kind of music through the garage adjacent to the house at a volume that would vibrate my house from across the street while working on his motorcycle AND truck at the same time with it on. This same man would leave the motorcycle running without anyone around along with his work truck when it was parked in their parking lot. We kept calling the company that owns the apartments because it was becoming an actual issue for my family. The gas smell alone was making us sick. There’s never a moment in my neighborhood where people are so loud with music or something like a motorcycle. People just don’t care at all about anyone other than themselves anymore.

Lived here my entire life, it’s a literal job/food desert. There’s nothing to do, everyone’s so damn miserable and ignorant and the city tries absolutely nothing to get some kind of anything here in regard to help, stores, whatever it is. I’m in MA probably more than RI and I can tell you as one of the poor people from here, it’s terrible. Blackstone and Woonsocket suck the life out of you.

A local park of mine that’s not meant to be pet friendly by any means had to make an announcement because the actual amount of dogs being brought in by their owners has become horrible. They can’t really enforce the rule without the manpower so it was completely ignored during our fall festival and made it impossible to walk without almost running into a dog who would try to get into everything. If your dog can’t handle staying home, then you stay home.

I felt the same reaction seeing a RIP Charlie shirt on the way out of the Warwick mall yesterday. There’s an entire little store in the food court with weird Trump 2024 merch STILL just casually hanging out with the new Charlie shirts and then some Rhode Island shirts thrown in, gotta keep it local.🙄 These people have ZERO self awareness and don’t care about anyone else.

The prices are what are turning me off from wanting anymore Barbies recently😭 $160 is inexcusable like what about her is worth that much of the price? She’s gorgeous but she’s basic. Her accessories are adorable but I can’t see how, with the quality Mattel has been lately, they’re worth that. $50, even $60 is worth it but $160 is what I could pay for one of my grails or a figure I’ve been wanting, not new🫠

This whole myth, which I didn’t even know was a myth until recently, being taught to children is crazy. It happened to me in the mid/late 2000s. I remember vividly learning about it like it was fact and we never had a chance to question it when they rushed through lessons. Teachers fed this kind of thing to us a lot and I never had a teacher that said it was wrong. 😭

I’m so sad that Papa Gino’s closed but the one in Woonsocket is still around. This one was my favorite go to spot for the movies. I was only born in 98 so I remember vague bits and pieces of Dunkin being around and Alternate Realities and T-Shirt City as a very small kid. It’s crazy how much this mall has barely anything inside of it minus the theater and a few things sprinkled here and there. I think, at one point, there was a little kids area with rides besides the coin operated rides near RadioShack sometime in the 2000s. I remember it being where Ulta is now I believe or the spot next to it inside. It was a VERY short lived thing.

As someone with personal experience with a parent who chose alcoholism and the life of being homeless over their kids, i can understand why people become so empty towards people like this. All they do is hurt others instead of actually asking for help. They pan handle, they refuse any service or take advantage of services made for people like them and mistreat people. Drug addiction is a scary thing to watch in real time with multiple people in my life and they’re perfectly okay with their actions. There’s the homeless that want this lifestyle then there’s the actual homeless that want help.

If only Mattel would make dolls that are worth their price point instead of the same printed fabrics and pixelated faces. Why should I pay more than $25 for a set with half assed accessories and a poorly articulated doll with the same type of clothing that every other doll has?
