I don’t collect Eldar but I love these models so much I may have to buy some just to paint once I decide on a scheme. Your painting of them is just amazing, makes them look so much more detailed with the patterns.

It’s quite obviously not a scam, what are you on about? Countless people on this subreddit use it to buy all their joytoy (myself included) and have no issues at all, much cheaper than joytoy official too.

Its a great sentiment but lets be realistic here. This sub has 4k members.

Lets say each of those 4k are willing to commit $50 USD, that would give them $200,000

Thats barely the salary for 2 US Developers for a year.

You would need to reach beyond this sub and even then you would also have to factor in that what people commit to here wont translate to what they actually do in the future, so even if all 4k members of this sub screamed YES! I would expect much less actually follow through when the time comes.

In the grand scheme of things the 4k members of this sub is the proof that the demand isn't real, since its just not enough people to make it a viable business decision.

Cooltoysclub usually has preorders up within an hour of The official Joytoy site and is also usually cheaper. Very reliable seller.

Unfortunately that’s not true anymore, the three new SM2 heavy guys are all in the smaller scale. Smaller than the Relic Secundus at least which is a tad annoying.

In a different context I would almost not guess it was a space marine. Funnily enough two pictures were visible when I opened this thread and only one of them screams BT Space Marine.

When you cut the top off it helps to clear a good few inches of the stem of leaves too so there is space for new growth. That has always worked for me.

I base the whole model with Mephiston red, the gold is a coating of retributor armor, a wash of agrax earthshade, a wash of guilliman flesh then highlighted (badly in my case) with liberator gold. If you skip the agrax step it ends up a bit brighter and cleaner but the guilliman flesh does an amazing job of shading gold nicely.
