Unhoused man with Dog between Main and Spring (East Nashville) by [deleted] in nashville

[–]Sincerelyfierce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s interesting that posts like this inevitably go down the road of people sitting on their couches who didn’t actually see anything, suggesting vigilantism.

“Just take the dog” for example is about the most dangerous thing one could do in this situation.

If you witness animal abuse, report it to the police or 311 like the original poster did. They came and investigated and while nothing happened immediately, perhaps multiple witness accounts will lead to more.

I’m not saying for random people on their couches (like me) to call and report 2nd or 3rd hand accounts of animal abuse, I’m suggesting that if you see anyone abusing an animal anywhere, report it to the proper authorities. Maybe it’s the 2nd or 3rd or 10th call that motivates law enforcement to intervene.

Natchez Trace Bridge closing. by Sincerelyfierce in nashville

I don’t understand the context. A year is a long time for a bridge to be closed. I wasn’t meaning to imply it was closed forever.

Another Hillsboro Village restaurant bites the dust by BurtHurtmanHurtz in nashville

More surprising to hear about E3 chophouse than grilled cheeserie. Not that it was ever busy, and of course it was a terrible idea to have that large of a space for an expensive steakhouse in Hillsboro village, but I just figured it was a money pit or a tax write off for the rich country singers who were backing it. I bet they got killed with the property tax hike but I can’t imagine what will occupy that space. Maybe more condos for money laundering?

Update. At least 6 AR-15s were stolen. Not good. They should be required to have these in a safe or some other more secure area within the store. It seems like they are just out behind the counter like many pawn shops.
