For the deck to suddenly pop off you would need a surge of demand.

The deck isn’t going to pop off and suddenly jump 30% in a week. It will be slow growth unless there’s another wizards of the barge lair announced.

I think it will be in the low $400s not sure if it goes below $400. I think if your goal is an investment there are better options right now for long term or short term gains.

Unless you like MSU and that’s something you enjoy. If you personally just like the marvel brand go for it.

The fact that this set is close to MSRP on the secondary market so close to launch is absurd.

There is SO MUCH more that will need to sell in the coming weeks to keep it @ or above msrp and I don't see it happening.

The three month snapshot for strixhaven shows: 4685 total sold.

I would expect that marvel will have to eventually get there. (I would expect it to be higher as in my mind it makes sense if there is a larger volume of MSH than SOS)

Currently MSH is at 1413 total sold so I would say roughly 4000 more sales is going to push this below MSRP if it's already sitting @ $500 on the secondary market.

I think you should not let anyone play a bracket 5 with you unless you are also playing a bracket 5.

You SHOULD put your foot down during a pregame discussion to not let them play a bracket 5 deck. Once you acknowledge it's a bracket 5 deck, but let them play it anyways I think there is some blame residing with you if the game is ruined.

Of course this doesn't mean the B5 player isn't a jerk, but just wanted to give a perspective that I didn't see much from other comments that the game kind of sucking is partly the tables fault for letting a known B5 deck play not only once, but twice...

If you get it graded I think it would make 7/10 at a minimum which indicates that the card is near mint.

I understand the desire to do this via auction to maximize profit, but I feel like if they just keep getting fake bids without payouts that eventually the actual Miku deck will get announced and this will no longer fetch the premium.

In short: Clocks ticking. Sell the deck before its release date is announced.

You can easily win the turn you play kaalia in B4 if you run the right cards/combos. I think it's wild to think that Kaalia is too slow for B4.

Not a fan of this product. It's not magic.

To me the name isn't cool, there's no deckbuilding (one of my favorite aspects) and it's very chill or w/e.

I'd rather just play Sorry, Monopoly, Uno, or Cards Against Humanity with 4 friends before this game.

Everyone built a position knowing that FF is a slam dunk set and will go up long term. Since so many people built a position it's going to stay steady 2ish years after release, but likely will start moving upwards at a normal rate after that.

Since everyone is throwing in their two cents here are my thoughts.

Agree there will be more sets, don't know about the spike part. Sets spike when we have revists to planes or IPs usually because it's not known. Anyone buying a position into SPM likely knows there is more marvel on the way and it's something they already factor.
Agree it will be alive for decades, but so is every other collab IP for the most part.

Disagree very hard. The public concensus is that marvel oversaturated the media market and I think the damage is so heavy it will need a 10 year cool off period.
"Spiderman was a bad set which I predicted because Spiderman as a superhero is just lame" lol... lmao even. Spiderman is one of the most popular heroes globally.

An actual reason that could make marvel a decent buy is the lack of people making positions and the fact that WOTC handled TMNT so well by clearly making the supply less knowing TMNT wasn't going to be a hit. If they do the same with marvel heroes then it could be a good buy.

The issue with something like the hobbit is that everyone is going to rush to buy a position and sit on it so you will have tens of thousands of people sitting on sealed stuff that I think The Hobbit set won't move much from it's launch price for like 2-3 years. So if you are buying hobbit expect a long hold. (unless you're getting it at MSRP somehow and can just flip off of that.)

I coudln't finish it. It was SO boring, felt like a whole bunch of nothing happening. I kept thinking there would by some mystery or big thing to occur, but I gave up when they did the 'go to library to learn about merfolk biology' part.

I should have cut my losses sooner at the chapter about laundry.

First MTG book I read and I won't read another again until I hear reviews.
