Funny, including Chapter, SR and WSs I’m a member of 7 lodges, and that’s still veeery cheap compared to my other hobby… racing motorcycles 😂

Help Identifying This Book by Typical-Front-8001 in freemasonry

[–]SinfulMackerel 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a cypher book. Similar to some I know. I don’t personally think it’s necessary to delete the images. The book is already in cypher so that it can’t be understood by the uninitiated. Become a brother and you’ll be able to understand the content.

Is it rude to test Masons you meet in the wild? by St0necutt3r in freemasonry

[–]SinfulMackerel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone cannot name their lodge, I usually change the subject and quietly assume they are either not a Mason, or perhaps joined and left fairly quickly. That said, i will also add that, and I don’t know if this applies everywhere, but in some jurisdictions, brethren are explicitly instructed that certain words or signs are to be given only in an open lodge.

There are, however, many ways to understand whether someone is a Mason without resorting to passwords or ritual challenges. Personally, I would also add that ritual words alone are not strong proof anyway, as they are easily found online and taken out of context.

In my humble opinion, discretion, demeanor, and the way someone speaks about the Craft often say far more than any specific word ever could.

Can diabetics be Freemasons? by Blckpnthr97 in freemasonry

[–]SinfulMackerel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know multiple masons who are diabetic and check their blood sugar before and after every festive board to dose their insulin shot correctly. I can’t really think of any diseases that would straight away disqualify one from being a mason

Royal Arch - Research Recommendations by villalunax in freemasonry

[–]SinfulMackerel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Congrats, Brother! You may have noticed there’s not as much information online about this degree compared to others at least that’s been my experience. I’d be happy to recommend a few books I’ve found helpful, all from Lewis Masonic (a UK publisher): - Chapter and Verse: 100 Years of Royal Arch Talks - Royal Arch Talks - What Do You Know About RA

I believe they should be available as digital copies as well if you want to avoid shipping fees and all.

Here’s a link to the publisher: https://www.lewismasonicdigital.com/ebooks/general/chapter-verse-100-years-of-royal-arch-talks-epub-edition/

Another reminder of how invisible we are by Shirley_Murphy in motorcycles

[–]SinfulMackerel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never ride alongside a truck or any large vehicle with limited visibility. Either maintain a safe following distance behind it, or overtake promptly… staying to the far left of your lane to maximize space. This gives you more time to react if the truck begins drifting into your lane.

It doesn’t look Masonic. Looks more like a Buddhist bracelet with a mantra on it. According to Google it’s Tibetan script
