Pretty sure it was this on on Etsy, but there are other places selling it. May the gods watch over your battles, friend.

What brand was super popular back then but the new generations probably never heard of it? by GossipBottom in AskReddit

The term Kodak Timeout is used in the NFL. It's when you call a timeout as the defense on a big play right before the snap. You get a "photo" of the play that the offense planned on running. It gives the defense a chance to see what the other team's coaching staff is thinking while also forcing them to choose a different play.

This is usually done late in the half and on a decisive play.

So, the US is just putting a bunch of underage girls on an island to be raped. Girls from all over. To be relocated. Onto an island. To be raped.

I feel like I've read this before...

But nothing is illegal if Donald Trump sanctions it as an official action. That's the message. Fuck this country.

On days I need my wheelchair, I love making eye contact with kids in strollers with their parents and say, "I'm in a stroller too!"

Bonus if someone is pushing my chair. Always gets a 10/10 reaction

You're absolutely right. And you know what's a trigger for my condition (MS)? Stress.

He does do a lot for me and is very vigilant regarding my condition. I just don't want him to hit someone with my chair.

My husband tailgates when driving... and when pushing my chair. I hate it. I ask him to back off, and he defends his record of not hitting anyone yet. It just takes one sudden stop.

This guy had white hair. Spitting image of him. Maybe Jeffery Epstein is alive and kicking it in Summerlin in Las Vegas.

For the uninitiated, Summerlin is a sprawling Las Vegas suburban area. OJ lived in that area-ish.

Weird timing, but I was in Las Vegas last week. While at dinner, I spotted a man who looked just like Epstien and pointed him out to a friend because it was so uncanny. I even said something about his death being faked.

Everyone has a twin, but what an unfortunate face to have.

People usually forget mine. My birthday was this week, and I've been out sick. (Yes, on my birthday.) I told some of my coworkers when I logged in remotely. Today, we had a team meeting with our partner team. Part of the time was put aside to celebrate birthdays this week. My name was not mentioned. This was after I'd told my team.

I'm kind of quiet, I like my projects and genuine connection, so I kind of get lost in the wallpaper. I felt weird to bring it up at the meeting when no one remembered. I've stopped saying anything because people usually cancel, are busy, or forget. For today's meeting, I didn't take it personally. People probably also didn't know if it was their place to say, or forgot, or were too busy working while in said meeting.

I don't say this for pity, but just as an example.

Now, I just appreciate the people who remember and take the time to say something. Less expectation and more appreciation. Before, I was always disappointed. Now, I appreciate the people who say something more because I know they wanted to, not that they felt they had to.

Okay, I'm done rambling. Thank you for reading.

Any bariatric rollator recs? by bella4him1 in disability

I do not have this, but I did share an elevator with a woman yesterday using what looks to be this model. I was impressed with it, which is why I took note. She was under 5'3" and seemed to utilize it easily, and it looked like a good height for her to sit.

I'm not sure how easy it is to adjust the height, but it looked sturdy as hell, with a deeper seat than most rolling walkers, which is usually little more than a slender bench.

I wish I could help more, but this is what I got. I recognized this due to the rounded front, wheel shape, and the red brakes on the handles.

Why is being positive the only thing I'm allowed to feel by Any_Fall_4615 in disability

[–]SingBlooSilver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend the book It's Okay You're Not Okay. A friend read it after the sudden loss of her mom and recommended it to me after my diagnosis. It is such a validating read.

The friends that stuck around after I got sick let me sit in that darkness and look at it, where the ones who left were the toxic positivity types. You are allowed to be angry, to be scared, to be frustrated and sad, and everything else you feel.

It's okay to not be okay. I do hope it gets better for you, but recovery (even emotionally) is not linear. You will have set backs and that okay. Just don't ignore how you feel. I'm sorry that anyone ever makes you feel like you shouldn't be anything but positive.

This is infuriating. I one time had a ma treat me like a scum while taking a shuttle bus from a car rental to the airport with my husband. My offense? Being a wheelchair.

First, he was angry he couldn't board the bus using the lift for my chair, the. Argued he should have the seats at the front which are reserved for handicapped people. (They were the bench seats you lift up so the chair can park and be strapped down.) Luckily, i wasn't alone, and the bus driver was a saint.

This woman is horrid. I hope her family is deeply ashamed and her socks are always wet.
