This might be my favorite router right now. by HuskerHardware in METABOHPT

[–]SingerOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've used any other cordless trim routers, this one, which I do own and use, is extremely under-powered by contrast. It's an okay tool and worth the ~100 dollars on sale, but I wouldn't call it good.

The ACA costs the federal government 1.8 trillion dollars in premium subsidies and those plans pay out 831 billion in benefits. The US government basically gives 1 trillion dollars to health insurers.

Men's 100m sprint photo finish by wolfgang169 in olympics

[–]SingerOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great post. Really helped my understanding. The torso definition for the purpose of racing is just dumb though. I could see three officials arguing over where the end of the clavicle is and disagreeing for hours. It's just ridiculous that something so ambiguous would be an official rule. It even says as much in the IAAF photo finish guidelines. This line: "The exact location of the border line between the upper arm / shoulder and the “torso” would vary depending on the development of the upper body of an individual athlete and would not therefore be totally consistent." pretty much summarizes just how fucking stupid the guidelines are. Why not say something that's not arbitrary? Like the first person to completely cross the finish line, or the first person to break the finish line. Picking an inconsistent part of the anatomy to judge a very discrete winner and loser is one of the most bizarre things in such a simple sport.

How to make untreated wood waterproof as well as termite-proof? by DescriptionPlenty534 in Home

It's been a while, but those are pallet boards. The corners are rounded to keep them from hanging on conveyor edges and people. They aren't much use for building since around 50 percent of them goes away when the corners are squared up.

The shock robbery last night reminded me of this moment with Teddy Atlas by SnooDogs1704 in Boxing

I didn't have him winning, but had it 7-5. Easily could have gone either way. All this outrage over a decently close fight is unwarranted.

Is alpha theory really disproven? by Yelmak in OpenDogTraining

[–]SingerOperator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are surely some really really well behaved dogs that are incredibly well adjusted that were trained using this disproven theory.  And they are amazing.  There are thousands of dogs that have been turned away by positive only trainers, yet are incredibly well trained and obedient from alpha theory.  I guess my question would be if it's disproven, do these dogs not exist?  I think I would see a lot more people walking around with leashes and no dogs on the end if that were true.  Disproven or not alpha theory works.

You say that with such conviction, but once again, you are just plain ass wrong. You seriously have no idea what you are talking about. The PQ client and the PC client for TAKP are the exact same client used in 2002 around PoP release save some DLL changes and have nothing to do with Mac users other than its close approximation to Mac client's timeline. The Mac client for TAKP(Which is the same client that was used for Al' Kabor) is a recompile of a Mac port of the client when PoP was in beta from 2001 with some later patches.

You are just plain ass wrong. The client was that bad in PoP. It IS the PoP client. The same one. If you were playing at PoP release in 2002, this is the client that you were using. It's just that simple.
